Here is the news that JJ broke earlier:
Jacob Pearson selected to play in Area Code Games.
Monroe Newsstar
The Rangers have announced their Area Code team, which represents Texas and Louisiana.
Roster
Jacob Pearson and Blayne Enlow are the only LSU commits on the roster.
They also announced their underclass team for the 2018 and 2019 classes but no LSU commits made that team. Additionally, the Reds announced their team, which represents the four corners and Hawaii. That team had no LSU representation either (LSU has one commit eligible for that team).
07/20/2016 Update: More Area Code teams have been announced. The White Sox team has no LSU commits on it. Johnny Ray would have been the only geographic fit for the team.
The Nationals team has also been announced. Levi Kelly (RHP - IMG Academy) is the only LSU commit on the Senior team. Mason Doolittle and Tanner Allen were also eligible. No LSU commits made the underclass team.
Bryce Turang (SS - Corona HS, CA) made the Brewers senior team, as an underclassman. He is the only 2018 kid on the senior team.
The Royals also announced their team, but LSU has no commits from the geography covered by their team.
7/26/2016 Update:
More teams have been announced. Daniel Cabrera (OF/LHP, 2017, Parkview Baptist) will be playing for the Yankees team. Also on that team are LSU commits Nick Storz, Trent Vietmier, and John Kodros. Usually these teams are bound by geography. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Yankees team has gone out of their zone to load up on LSU commits.
This is the first listing I've seen for Cabrera being from Parkview, so I guess we know now where he's transferring to.

There's a ton of guys in this class that can be hitters or pitchers. It will be very interesting to see how things play out, but if there is one guy I would like to see pitch and DH that's Storz, if he makes it to campus.

Chain National 16u Burress brought lots of power with them to LakePoint on Friday evening starting with righthander Levi Kelly (2018, Fla.). Kelly is completely filled out physically with good strength present in his 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame. He works from a higher three-quarters arm slot with good arm strength and a longer arm action. The LSU commit uses a drop-and-drive element in his delivery with a shorter stride to the plate and plus extension down the mound that registered above seven feet. A concern is the effort and head violence in his delivery, but he still manages to throw strikes. Kelly’s fastball exploded out of his hand in the first sitting 90-92 with late arm-side wiggle. He used it up in the zone to generate a swing and a miss and did well to locate it to both sides. As reported by tigrbaseball in another thread, Nick Storz competed in the high school home run derby at Petco Park yesterday. He hit 8 out of a park not normally known for being hitter friendly. His longest blast measured 432 feet.

As reported by JJ27 above, 2016 Infielder Jake Slaughter was named to the Cal Ripken League All-Star Game. He will be on the North squad as they play tomorrow night. Here are the rosters: LINK
On the season, Slaughter has slashed .269/.349/.419. He's got 8 doubles and 2 home runs in 106 plate appearances. He has split time between SS and DH mostly this season. He has one start at 3rd earlier this year and recently played a couple games at second.
The other 2016 player in the summer leagues, Josh Smith, also made his leagues All Star game. Smith will suit up for the West division in the Prospect League All Star game tomorrow night LINK.
Smith has hit .343/.465/.485 in 32 games this season (129 PA). He has 6 doubles, a triple, and two home runs. He's also walked 20 times to only 13 strikeouts and stolen 18 bases in 21 attempts.

LSU picked up a 2019 commit from Charlotte last night in Raymond Torres. Jheremy Brown of Perfect Game reported it on Twitter. He's a switch hitting catcher. Brown stated that he's highly advanced defensively and has big catch & throw skills.
His profile is linked in the second post in this thread under the 2019 commits. He's the third one I've found so far for that class. There are rumblings we could be getting another one soon though.

As noted in the stickied thread, LSU picked up a huge baseball/football commit from Tennessee. Maurice Hampton committed to play defensive back and outfield for LSU as part of the 2019 class. He's the 4th baseball commit and the second in two day (Ray Torres being the other). He's also the second baseball commit from Memphis University School (Brock Dallstream being the other).

Some Draft Signing Deadline housekeeping:
LSU had five 2016 signees in the Baseball America Top 500 that did not sign with a pro team. Only two of them were actually drafted. Here is the list of players and their rankings:
150 - Todd Peterson
167 - Zack Hess*
293 - Josh Smith*
306 - Zach Watson
385 - Will Reese
Additionally, Jake Slaughter was drafted and did not sign. (Hunter Kiel was as well, but I'm just talking HS guys right now)
One thing to remember is that the Top 500 is not just HS players. It's all draft eligible players. Overall, 127 High School players that were on the list did not sign pro contracts. So let's all please remember that every time another kid commits and someone has the urge to say "he'll never step on campus."

Pearson won the HR Derby at the Marucci World Series last night. I believe his partner was Tanner Allen. Need confirmation on that though.

I believe this is Darren Landry's son (former LSU OL). I've heard he received a couple SEC looks but that his bat didn't really show up the way you would think. I'm not sure if the JC route is due to the draft or to wait out better offers. I know there are a few Ponchatoula posters here, maybe they can chime in.

Recent commit Cade Doughty (2019, Denham Springs) has made the 15U USA Baseball team. He was on the trial roster, but it was announced yesterday that he made the final roster. Here is the Advocate's coverage: LINK.
ETA: I was able to find some box scores from the 5 games trials that went on to determine the final roster. Recent LSU commit Maurice Hampton (2019, MUS) was also participating.
Hampton played RF one game and CF for the other 4 games. He finished 4 for 18 with 5 strikeouts. He had 1 2B, 2 RBI, and 2 steals. He also had one sac bunt.
Doughty played a different position each game. He saw action at 1B, 2B, 3B, C, LF, and Pitcher. On the mound he threw 3 innings giving up one hit and 5 walks. He struck out 1 and allowed 2 runs. At the plate he went 3 for 12 with two triples. He walked twice and struck out twice, knocked in 2 runs, and stole 2 bases.

LSU had at least one commit competing the in 15U WWBA tournament currently going on. Here is an update from the event:

Two LSU commits from Lafayette were named MaxPreps All Americans recently. Mason Templet (2016, STM) and Nick Webre (2017, Teurlings) were both honored recently. The Advocate
