Start him at the 2 spot. Problem there in lies where's our 3 point threat on the floor if we start Waters/Mays, this guy and Sampson?

IDK if he starts but seems better than a walkon taking that spot. He's a 1 year guy so there's not a lot of loss here even if he doesn't pan out. Especially with 1 or 2 scholarships still available.

Yeah this is why I think you take him, we have 11 on scholarship now with Patterson not counting, and who knows what's going on with Bigby-Williams. Get a 1 year guy who can give you something. No reason Reed Vial or Marshall Graves should ever play unless a game is completely out of hand.

I personally like Edwards at that 2 spot as a sharpshooting 3 point guy with Sampson at the 3 who can dominate around the rim and a battle for the 1 between Waters/Mays. I do feel replacing some scoring we lost would be good with Randy, but not sure he should play 30+ minutes a game here.

Epps, Sampson and Waters are all big 3 point threats. Edwards put up crazy 3 point numbers in JUCO but who knows how he turns out.

I dont consider Sampson a big time 3 point threat, he's an average shooter, his strength is around the rim.

Epps is not a guard, he's a good shooter for a big guy but it's not like he's going to start and give us 30 minutes a game. He only shot 1 3 pointer a game last season.

If you can shoot you can shoot. 46.6% isn't a mistake on the college level

If Sampson makes another jump in 3p% then absolutely becomes a 3p threat. He made a big jump in year 1 to year 2 and became a respectable shooter. Epps isn't a guard but he's a stretch 4 and with the way Wade has tales about him it would be no surprise if he starts. In fact I think Wade said Epps is the most improved player so far. In a small sample size he also shot 40% from 3 last season.

You never know with JUCO players, if it was a garuntee his high % would translate to the next level he would have had every college in America knocking on his door.

I remember Epps first few games as a freshman. I saw sparks of something there that excited me to see what he was going to develop into. I remember telling someone he was a player to keep their eyes on in he future. Well, we know how that worked out under Jones. But I am truly excited to see what happens under Wade. I really think he could be the surprise of this team.

I think that Wade will have a huge impact on Epps. I don't care if he shoots 3s, but he is 6'10 and needs to be a physical presence, plus he is a good athlete. That is super rare. Wade will get it out of him and I expect big things from him..

Better options in '18 and if I'm not mistaken he will have to sit out this season. I could be wrong though

What's our chances of landing the southern Utah kid? I see he scores pretty well, is he a shooter? We could use high % outside shooter.

I've heard "volume" shooter, so not a sharp shooter.

He isn't suppose to visit until the first part of Aug. We won't hear anything until after he comes for his visit. If we hear anything before that means he went somewhere else.

Mitchell Robinson no longer at WKU. Thought this might get some hopes up.
