Josh Leblanc eliminates LSU and will pick between Texas A&M and Georgetown.

Pretty sure he's Georgetown bound

Damn. I thought we were the leader for Leblanc?

Shocking there... he was quoted after the visit saying it was "just okay". Days now becomes a must-get, he's my favorite recruit we're after.

He has an assistant coach that's been pushing him to georgetown since day 1. Apparently that guy has more clout than people thought.

Brandon Sampson was going to St. John's and Josh Anderson at WKU. Seems we need to get in better at Madison Prep. We were fortunate to steal Sampson after the coaching change at St. John's.

As long as we get Days, which is looking likely with Louisville going down the shitter, I think we're fine if we miss on LeBlanc

Still need to find another PF in this class. We are still losing Reath, Epps and Combs after this season.

I really think we need to see the coach's rotations before we make assumptions about where players project to play. I could see him going with a 3 guard line up and playing one forward position with Combs, Sims and Alexander (with Reath, Epps and Kirr as the other forward). If he does prefer playing smaller, then adding Reid and B-W, should be fine, especially if Rachal grows some more..

He likes a true big, a stretch 4, a true wing, then your guards, preferably 2 guys who can handle the ball. He will play what he has to play early on, but that's his ideal lineup.
The idea this year was to get 3 guys who could play either the 4 or 5 in his system though. The plan for Leblanc was selling him on the 4 early on and when he developed an outside game, which he just doesnt have right now, moving him to the wing spot.
Kaden Archie is a true 3 in Wade's system right now.

Is Sampson big enough to be the wing in his system? Or would someone like Combs get that spot?

Emmitt Williams scheduled to visit LSU Oct. 12-14 according to his instagram

If Wade can replace LeBlanc with Williams in this class...

I'd be surprised if Sampson isn't starting the 3 this year. He's good size, 6'5, 180ish. Not really an NBA wing by any shape of the imagination but can shoot which Wade wants in his 3 but also drive to the basket which is Sampson's strongest part of his game. He fits the mold, just not the ideal size because he's so slim. Sampson cant really guard a lot of other team's 4's and Wade really wants a versatile defensive wing who could potentially guard another team's 1-4 position if need be. Sampson would get really bullied around by a bigger 4, like a guy say 6'8, 6'9 220+.
Combs isn't a wing at all, he's an undersized but hard working 4 but in Wade's system more of a 5 since he cant even play stretch 4 really. Combs lives around the basket, offensively and defensively. He doesnt have a shot, he took 2 3 pointers in 3 years at North Texas.

Agreed. LSU's strength is in the backcourt. Regardless of what position we call them, I think LSU is going to play a 3 guard lineup 90% of the time. At 6'5" Sampson gives you a chance to matchup with other teams' SF's.

Emmitt Williams sets official visit for October 12th. Would be an ENORMOUS get for this class.
ETA: Germans. My fault.
