Don't forget Peveto. He spear headed Franks recruitment and also Erick Fowler's. He's a solid recruiter

Nope. He's just a BBQ buddy. I mean do you even remember him at D-Coordinator? If he failed at that job he surely can't do anything else and isn't any value to this staff.

Unless there is some significant background to the story about Garret's departure from the program, that situation is a prime example that the recruiting sites are just media machines that are pumping out info that is virtually very unreliable.

I'm not disagreeing with the fact that recruiting sites are media machines, because they are, but 3 out of 4 of our 5* recruits in Clifton Garrett's class are on pace to become possible all-americans and first round draft pics. Their talent evaluation at 247 is pretty spot on considering they're looking at 16 year olds and trying to predict the 32 first round draft picks 6 years later

This class may turn out to be the best ever and probably will with so many big names still on the board for LSU which they have a great shot at. I love how they started with all of the big sexy 5 and 4 stars and are now adding these rising and relatively unknowns with massive upside who are still hungry and have room to get better. Something special is happening especially if Franks is the great QB we expect him to be.
