You're going to catch shite because you started this thread and you're attending and seem close to the situation. Such is life on the recruiting board.

Yeah, it's kind of silly.

I really hate to miss out on him, I think he's a great kid. I was hoping he'd hang with the home team but all recent signs make it seem it's not in the cards. I wish him the best of everything (except against LSU of course).

Like I said before, all year long he'd been telling me Auburn. But he also said he wasn't going to announce until right before his SR year. Then the injury occurred and then shortly thereafter he said he was ready to announce. He said that one school opened his eyes and made the decision clear for him and there was no need to wait any longer. That's when a lot of speculation started brewing that maybe it was LSU, since their recruiters were on the sidelines when his injury happened and they were the first to offer their support. He also started wearing a lot more LSU stuff. So yeah, at that point I thought that maybe he wanted to play closer to home, because I know that his family is all very tight-knit. I said if I were to guess, I'd say he'd pick LSU... BUT, I made it very clear that I wouldn't be surprised if he picked Auburn. Apparently I wasn't the only one, because Jimmy wrote an article not long ago predicting he'd choose LSU, and many experts on 247 had him picking LSU, up until this morning when everyone started singing a different tune. At this point in time I'm still not convinced where he's going, but I'll be happy with whatever decision he feels is best for him.

You did exactly what you said there, some people on the recruiting board are very touchy when it comes to "inside" info, it's a bit ridiculous.

The only thing that strikes me as odd about this situation is that it was obvious Narcisse was playing things close to the vest and didn't want to totally tip his hand either way. Then why is it so widely reported that it's Auburn now before the official announcement? Did he inform the LSU coaches respectfully this morning and then one of those guys leaked it? If so, I think whoever is leaking stuff like this should be a little bit more respectful of the kid's wishes. Or is this the ultimate troll diversion?

There just had to be a reasoning behind the last minute AU visit.

It's the same old thing every year. "The experts feel great about this one, LSU, he's going to pick LSU." Up until the day of. Same thing every year.

I really don't know what it was. A lot of people (including me) thought that his trip to Auburn was to respectfully tell Gus that he was committing elsewhere. The fact that he came home early due to "hotel complications" solidified that idea. When I went to bed last night, I felt pretty confident that he'd be picking LSU. Then when I woke up and checked TD and 247 and NOLA and the other sites, everything had changed. I don't know what happened. I guess someone tipped off Jimmy and Shea and they ran with it -- IDK who though.

I know it does. And it's halarious how these "experts" make a name for themselves and people actually value thier predictions.

its like this every year. Everyone want to be the first to be right and shock the recruiting world when they predicted a flip first. The less I pay attention, the better it is.

They're just relaying what the LSU coaches feel. Don't act like this happens with every recruit. It's maybe one or two a cycle

No they're not Cheif. It's pure bs and they hope it sticks. Then they get real info and change the tune last second to hold cred. Keep paying premium chump.

I'm fairly confident that's not how it works, you spelled Chief wrong too.

It's $10 a month for a lot of great info you wouldn't otherwise get. They report what they know, sometimes there is fluff but it's not NEAr as abs as other sites where they tell you we lead for everyone. It's great hearing about camps and practices, that's worth the $10 alone and has nothing to with who will commit where.
