Now that I'm a grown-up and dont have to work nights and weekends, Im pretty interested in checking out some local HS football games featuring college football prospects.

Fill me in on the games in the BR area this weekend and who is worthy of a visit. What other games later on this year are a "cant miss"?

U High plays Loranger (Jeryl Brazil) this Friday. That probably has the most LSU guys. There's a few other good ones as well.

You wanna see the best in Louisiana as far game day atmosphere goes, make a trip up to West Monroe.

If you feel like making the drive to NOLA on Friday, there is a double-header in the dome that features two (one, mores than the other) perennial metro-area powers in Curtis and St. Paul's taking on two out-of-state powerhouses in (Tampa) Plant High School and (Tallahassee) Lincoln High School, respectively.

Yep. It's almost like a college game.

It's very akin to high school football in Texas.

Ive played against them, twice. Seen them countless times in the dome.

I think I'll have to check out that UHigh vs Loranger game, though I'd love to see John Curtis University play against Florida. Thanks for the suggestions.

JJ, It is just a double header this year (Evangel not playing). Byrd vs Marshall, TX @ 3:00 & WM vs Calvary @ 7:00

Dad keeps asking if I'm going. Think I'd rather watch the only good LSU OOC game this year.

The 2 games in the Dome are worth the drive IMO.

If you don't wanna travel to N.O., come see U-High kick Loranger's arse Friday night @ 7:00pm on U-High's home field. A total of 4 LSU recruits will be on the field. Garrett Brumfield, Tim Williams, and Nick Brossette for U-High. And, Jeryl Brazile for Loranger.
