Can't take over 25 per new rules. We could sign over and ask some kids to grey shirt, but then we could lose them like Miller.

Then how is Bama able to sign more this year? (Basing that off what I've read others post on SEC Recruiting Board)

I think we have to take into account the 85 total on scholarship rule. Some say we won't sign over 25 and the players leaving only helps us to get to the 85 total number without much if any attrition. But at the same time if some high profile recruits that LSU wants commit to LSU, I'd bet LSU would find a way for them to get a scholly. Just my imo.

We couldn't take a full 25 last year because we'd have gone over our 85 limit. Counting the ones that didn't make it we only took 21 in last year's class (these are all guesses since, as Saban has stated, only HE knows who's actually on scholarship).
Graduating a big senior class and losing 3 juniors to the draft we now have plenty of room under the 85-limit so we can take 4 extras and count them against last years 21.
It's a pretty common occurence.

I just asked him. He said he couldn't remember what kind of car Jordan Jefferson got, only that it didn't run and had no option(s).

Ok, the one thing that no one has answered is the Hill question, so I'll throw it out there again. He counted toward the total number for last year's class (I checked). Most posters are counting him again this year. Why? If he is an EE, and he already had one of the spots for last year's class, why wouldn't he still count toward the 2011 class?
