My problem with this comparison, and SCOTT as a prospect, is his arm. Wilson has a cannon. I watched SCOTT play on ESPNU. He has mediocre arm strength.

if lsj can be like herb tyler, it's all good.

we need a baller at qb. hopefully harris takes it to the next level this year.

You evaluated Scott's arm strength from an ESPN highlight?

He doesn't have to have a cannon for an arm. If he has good accuracy and makes smart decisions with the football I could care less if he can throw 80 yard bombs or 90 mph lasers that most college WRs can't catch... one of harris's main problems Is his cannon arm. He has bad touch on his short to mid range passes cause he just insist on throwing the ball 100 mph.

Who gives a shite!!! He can throw a perfectly fine ball for the collegiate level. We are not expecting a franchise changing QB

He's no Favre, but this just isn't true.

These comparisons are so ridiculous. For every 5'11" 200 lb QB ranked below 1000 who succeeds as a major college starter, there are thousands who don't. Why don't you look up the 100 guys ranked around Wilson in HS and see what NFL team they are starting for right now?

I don't think the OP makes the comparison suggesting that we just signed a Super Bowl winning QB. The comparison is usually made to imply that size isn't a reason that a kid can or cannot compete on the next level.

Some of you guys are just idiots.

How tall is Doug Flutie? I think 5-10 and Scott is more athletic and probably smarter.

Lindsey will have Brees' former coach. Cam has worked with and developed an undersized QB before.

Does this mean Scott will transfer from lsu before he is good?

Scott has a thick lower half he diffidently is not thin. He does have a very high football IQ and is accurate. Student of the game and this makes a lot of difference.

The weaknesses of a short QB, or even an average arm, can be hidden and somewhat schemed around with a good game plan. But that takes a coach willing to adapt his philosophy to fit the particular strengths and weaknesses of the personnel from year to year. Miles doesn't do that. There are lots of things that I really like about Les, but square peg, meet round hole. Rinse, repeat.

If that is your only view of him you are operating with a short deck... He has plenty enough arm. Coaches have worked on him to quit trying to spin everything through the receivers chest and have worked on touch. In fact he went to great lengths to develop the abilities to drop the ball on his receivers/targets. This has been well documented on 24/7 and Nola.com

I'm so tired of hearing this arm strength BS. He has intelligence, great football IQ, mobile enough to scramble, make plays and save plays with his feet, he has very good touch, has great accuracy, can throw on the move accurately... Neither Flynn nor Mauck had great arm strength but Jamarcus did. Who won the championships??
