He had a great career...dude is a National Champion and Super Bowl Champion...he did it from the bench mostly...but he got rings.

I remember following RP's numbers his senior year. The dude was fricking insane.

30 PTD and 37 RTD and 0 interceptions is nuts.

That's being said if Lindsey Scott was even 6'1" he clearly would be a 5 star

Also, how were we not more concerned with RS having a lower QBR than RR coming out of high school?

Dont think your QB Ratings are coming out correctly.

How is Perrilloux's QB Rating 10 points lower than Magee's yet threw for a higher completion percentage, more yards, more yards per attempt and had a 30-0 TD-INT ratio vs. Magee's 35-3 ratio.

Why do we always recruit people at diff positions?

I didn't even know Randle and Magee were QBs

Ryan Perrilloux single handedly beat St.Amant in the playoffs his senior year. Most unreal high school football player I've ever seen with my own eyes.

Yes, but no one recruited him as QB.

Magee was an athlete who everyone at the collegiate level knew was a RB...but Franklinton needed him to play QB.

Randle was a WR until Senior year but had to move to QB for the same reasons.

They were qbs in high school because they were the best athletes on the team and their coaches wanted the ball in their hands every play. Doesn't mean they were suited for the position at higher levels.

Because in LA the best athlete often plays QB.

Finding a QB is hard (go figure) so you put the ball in your best athletes hands every play.

If only LSU played a version of spread offense these Qbs thrive in

It's correct. I just checked it. Interceptions don't hurt you as much and the whole formula is divided by attempts, and Magee had a lot less which raised his rating a lot.

Because - in HS they make their most money out of the QB position. Often the best player plays quarterback, despite being the best running back on the team (recall that at Carencro in 1994 had a senior "QB" named Kevin Faulk, with freshman Damien James playing running back - that does not mean Damien James was a better running back.)

Randle only played QB as a SR. He was a WR the rest of his years

Terrence's future was a rb no doubt, but he was an amazing qb who fit the system. He has a big arm and Franklinton also had Josh Robinson (Miss St) in the same backfield.

I noticed that right off too.

Checked it three times.

((8.4*Yard)+(330*TD)+(100*Comp)-(200*Int))/Att

Perrilloux had far fewer TD/ATT.
