Are they going to run the spread option or the triple option that he ran at Georgia Southern?

He didn't run the triple option at Georgia Southern.

ETA: That was Monken who went to Army a few years ago.

The great QB recruit Tulane had changed his mind and is going to La.Tech. He was a 2yr. all-stater from Oxkord Ms. up here where I moved to. It's all over the newspapers and sports talk radio up here. Lindsay Scott could pass on Syracuse and go to Tulane and play early.

Correct, it was a spread option, but it definitely had triple option looks, just out of shotgun/pistol, not flexbone like you see at GT.

the guy from MS was a pure passer. would not have fit in with new offense. although all of the talk about him going to the PAC 12 seems to have been hot air.

That would be awesome for Frank if we don't offer this kid. Great way to start.

But, I say let's offer this kid if possible with Haskins or Russo and boost competition.

He has the grades and SAT to get a full ride at Harvard. He has offers from all of the Academies as well. Kid is a winner and will do well in life.

If he can get a full ride, then it's the ultimate opportunity as far as a future outside of football goes.

No such thing as athletic scholarships in the Ivy league.

Right...

Just grant-in aid for those "athletically" gifted.

The ivy league schools have large enough endowments and financial aid packages that would cover up the difference in Harvard's athletic scholarships.

He is too smart to understand Miles speak?

Judging by the schools he is linked to, I am going to go out on a limb and say that Scott is an Andrew Luck type recruit. He wants to play football, but wants to get a degree from a prestigious academic school while doing it.

I would still offer him just in case he decides he wants to play SEC ball and/or we miss on Russo, Haskins, or any other qb target. Go Forbid we have a Ohio State situation where we have 3 qbs on our roster that make us national championship contenders. That would just be a nightmare. (sarcasm)
