Kid is an absolute monster. He benched 225x28 at 6'2.5" 252 this past Tuesday. He was highly sought after his sophomore year when he just wrecked shop. Unfortunately he tore a ligament in his ankle prior to his junior year. When they tried to fix it in surgery, they damaged a nerve and prolonged his recovery. He had another surgery and has ZERO trouble now.

He is at LSU today and ran back to back 4.8s. Look for this young man to have a strong senior year. I honestly expect double digit sacks. When he arrives, he has a nasty streak too. Great kid, great family, someone that would represent LSU the correct way.

Layton benching 225, 28 times

Kid jumps out of the pool, showing he's fully back from ankle injury

Saw some film on a post of his dad's a while back and I've been hoping we'd offer him since. He's the real deal, for sure.

I will be in West Monroe the first week of September and will be able to check out our Rebels live for the first time since the state title game of 2004. I think they are playing Wossman at home?

How did DJ Welter get offered and Garnett can't?

Yeah...maybe he will show enough to get an offer at the camp? Bradie James ran a 4.7 pre-draft in 2003, so the 4.8 at his size is not that bad.

Once every 10-15 years type team. Stacked at every position, will all ride on OL and when has that ever been a problem at WM?

Pretty sure it's right around average for someone his size. We've had several solid LB's in the 4.8 range, and others that were beasts. Good to see someone come back strong from an injury

The people I talk to from West Monroe say it is a loaded team on defense with some questions on Offense like can belton stay healthy, They are pretty connected to the program and say it is a good team but not an all time great type of West Monroe team.

Layton Garnett is a beast.. I say offer Malcolm roach and Layton Garnett as lb's and take divinity to end it for LB's unless a top player wants in.

I really like McCoullogh but i have a tough time seeing him leave Texas. Dontavious is all Bama, Texas, and Michigan, and Until I see a LB out of Alabama, that both instate schools want badly leave the sate, Ben Davis and Mack Wilson are myths.
