Lashley's visit

I haven't heard a peep about Scott Lashley this weekend. The Scott commitment and the stuff with Erick Fowler have dominated discussions. With it looking likely that Jauan Williams is headed to FSU, can we get Lashley on board? It seems like his visit was as important as anyone else's. It would be great to add some quality and quantity to this year's O line class with someone like Lashley. And we remember how Grimey finished last year.

It's going to be tough to pull Lashley out of Mississippi. I've learned not to expect this to happen. If it does, it will be a great surprise. I think he is supposed to announce tomorrow afternoon.

Some pay sites don't think he is coming to LSU

I agree with the two above posts. John Simpson is LSu's best bet as a late get for the OL.

Lashley interests me as well. He's an example of a big recruit that doesn't generate much buzz because he is considered a lock to a school. He committed to MSU last Spring, but almost immediately de-committed stating it was still early & wanted to keep his options open. He has continued to remain a heavy lean to the Bulldogs since then, plus he's from a fertile MSU recruiting ground. Its hard to pull a guy from Mississippi, especially the Golden Triangle.
However, he hasn't said a lot. A lot of people are making assumptions, but he's not tipping his hand. He's made a lot of unofficial visits throughout the South, narrowed his choices to 3, took officials to Bama, Starkville, LSU. He's probably enjoying the process before signing with MSU, but we're not coming in at the last minute trying to steal him. He was at LSU's Junior Day, has visited campus multiple times before his offical this past weekend, and Grimes has been pushing him hard. I think there's a small chance.

The kids up here rarely leave the state. Westpoint HS is 15 minutes from MSU campus. It's really not worth recruiting north Mississippi. We were very lucky to get Jaylan Collins from Olive Branch. Olive Branch players usually end up at Ole Miss. Hope I'm wrong but history is not on our side.

Ms. Talk Radio said today that the local area Bama alumni are going after Lashley hard, but he seems to be telling local people he's all Ms. State. I don't hear LSU in the mix at all. we're No.3.
