I had said earlier this year that Tunsil was a pipe dream.

I assume that we are done on the OLINE, since we need DT's in the worst way.

But if an OT like Tunsil changes direction, wouldn't we take him?

You'd think we have a better option for backup OT than a versatile 6th year OG. Seems that OT is the postion where you need at least 7 guys for the two OT spots.

An OT that can pass protect has definitely become a concern. I'm most interested in trying to figure our if Lael's future is truly at guard or if he can play tackle.

Its not happening this year, and probably not next year either with faulk returning, so don't get your hopes up.

And nobody we sign this Feb is going to step in at LT, no matter what happens. This thread is ridiculous

Our supposed future LT is our current LG and there doesn't seem to be a change coming. That set our OL depth back at LT. Other than that we're young at OT. We'll be fine in the future. Faulk will be back next year and that will give Hawkins more time to develop and Cameron Robinson will be here in a couple of years. (As of now) Definitely need to make a change at LT. I say give Davenport a try if we're not gonna move Collins. Chris can't be worse than Josh D and Hurst. If the seniors can't do the job then put in Davenport and Alexander. Do something.

If Tunsil were in anyway interested then we'd take him but he's not.Down year for LT prospects this year. We've got Pocic but I see RT or OG in his future.

And nowhere in this thread did i say he would step in right away.

We need OT's for depth, so we won't have this problem in three years. THat is why this is the RECRUITING board, you dipshit. With your thinking, we should just wait for MEtt to graduate, then get a JUCO. YOu are such an idiot.

hence my quote:

Why are you so retarded on this?

THanks for keeping my 'ridiculous thread' up at the top.

I'll remember Pocic but I don't see LT in him. I'd rather move Alexander over there. Neither can be worse than Josh D though. Josh D was a slightly above average OG. What in our staff's right minds thought he'd be good at LT? Makes no sense at all. I'd like to see some different guys get looks over there against Towson. We won't though. They use that game to get Josh D "work" at LT. As if his work against Idaho wasn't bad enough.

You seem mad. Are you?

The extra CAPS in your post kinda tips it off.

Since you can't read regualar type or comprehend it, I thought I'd try all caps. Your inability kinda tips that off. Thought I'd try something new, ya know. Not mad at all; just surprised.

The unspoken question seems to be, "how big of a bust is Chris Davenport'?

I wouldn't be so hard on Davenport. He's still on the team and being asked to play a different position.

Clay Spencer and Carneal Ainsworth come to mind since they were given spots and are gone.

Davenport is/was a 6-4 300+ DT. Thats not a 6-6 300+ OT or OG for that matter.

They would make room for him, yes.

They try to sign at least 4 OL per year and target for 5. Some times player me work out, sometimes they don't.

Dealing with 85 scholarship limitations is a bitch.

They spent a whole offseason trying to teach La'El the guard position and get him comfortable playing there. They don't just want to up and move him.

The plan was that Faulk would go pro after this year, then they would get La'El ready to play LT for next season.

Obviously that didn't work out.

Yes, he is.

That he is...

If you just look at him as a prospect, he appears athletic and nimble enough to play on the outside.
