Well, so far Saban has offered: - Robinson - Fournette - Hootie - Washington - Willis - Brumfield - Noil - Clapp - Young - Harris - Godchaux - McDowell - Plus 5 other Louisiana kids that LSU hasn't offered yet But yu are saying that if Bama were to get exactly one out of these 12 top kids I listed above, you feel this means "something seems to have changed" from LSU having the inside track??? C'mon, be real.

Agreed.

Saban will always get recruits out of Louisiana. 1. Coaching at lsu developed relationships with the high school coaches which allows him the inside track to recruit. 2. Alabama will always have a good program that wins. 3. Look at how many recruits lsu pulls from alabama, not many, while all big time recruits each year lsu is fighting to keep in state. Get used to the trend until the misgit retires or dies.

What did he miscontrue? You took two data points, presumably you were referring to Collins and C Rob, and said that to you that "means something". Well what does it mean to you?

You want to take these two completely independant cases and wrap them into some "bigger picture"?

Not much to go on to assume that Saban has changed the playing field in some irrevocable manner.

Everyone needs to take deep breath, stop making Saban into a god and be rational.

247 Sports; prediction is 50/50 LSU Alabama. But if you look at the individual 3 are from Bama On Line and one from AL.com. Only one LSU projections was from a LSU Homer Geaux 247.

Robinson himslef said no one knows where he is going.

Stop giving credit to the BAMA PR machine.

You also have to realize the national media (ESPN Types) want to pump up BAMA and are to lazy to work and assume because it is BAMA he will go to BAMA.

As to Saban being god, I had lunch 2 weekends ago with a friend who coach with 5 NBA teams and was an assitant on a NCCA chanpionsip team. He said there was no way LSU was going to win a second time in the BCS. It was just his experence that whoever losses the first game wins the second. He said if LSU would have lost the first game they would have won the first. Remember there are not many NFL Teams that win the first game and win in the rematch in the playoffs. I'm not trying to go off topic but just pointing out you need to stop making Saban out to be something he's not. He's a great coach but he is no super being.LSU matches up with him.

No doubt about it we need Cam to commit, for the moral of the state, and encourage the rest of our elite prospects to stay home and rep the boot. Stay home fellas Mr. Leonard, Mr Willis, Mr Speedy Noil, Mr. Quinn, Mr.Dupree, Mr. Gouchaux. Guys notice I said Mister first because you guys will be the most remembered group of kids to commit to LSU and you will go down as legends in La. 2014 Dream Team. :geauxtigers:

Saban is finding the pressure points. These guys want to go to bama and play for Saban no doubt, but Saban is using handlers and other parties to get close to these prospects.

Les continues to focus on the parents because it's the right thing to do, but that route is not nearly as enticing to the recruits. Most kids reach a point when they want to break away from their parents anyway and Saban understands that.

Guys that age will often be more likely to listen to their handlers and other parties telling them they are the shite and they have to make their own decisions. If anything, Les needs to tell the parents to keep these people away from their kids.

Collins was a huge loss. Looks less like it right now, but that's only because we should be bringing in one of the best DB classes ever.

No he wasn't, after he made his decision, LSU went out and signed Corey Thompson. You also miss the point with the 2nd part of your statement. While this DB class could be epic with the # of elite recruits, over the last decade, LSU has alway gotten our fair share of DB talent. The difference between Collins and whoever we have starting in that spot (Martin, Thompson) is marginal at best.

LSUexpert ( ),
Let me break this down for you,
Camrob is offered by both LSU and Bama. So are lots of recruits from this state. For various reasons, either one or both face or existing dispositions toward them which make it more or less likely the offer will be accepted. Some seem to think Ala. has no chance with some of La.'s top recruits.
Camrob has said, credibly, he's wide open to either.
Likewise he is at a position of need where he might see time at either place early ( and he's very good)
AND unlike some other of our top recruits, it appears Saban has made CamRob a top priority, just as Les has.
In short, it is a heads up fight between equally motivated programs for a recruit who is open minded, not biased toward either.
It is the biggest test for Miles' as a recruiter in some time, possibly to include LC ( where girlfriends, AD dept jobs were involved).

Very good analysis,Saban is a snake who will use whatever means necessary to gain an advantage.Unfortunately for Les his morals may be his weakness at times.

Silly post, nitwit, but then again, you did pick that userid, huh? Hate to bring up history but LSU and the midget boy have gone head to head on many, many recruits out of LA and the midget has lost the vast, vast majority of them. Now, all of a sudden to say all of the midget's losses to Miles in recruiting don't count and THIS is the biggest test for Miles is NONSENSE!

BTW, I recognize your userid from the Advocate board, and I see you are as clueless as ever!

Soooo, let me get this straight. All of these offers by Alabama to LA top players are NOT important if they discard Alabama from consideration huh? Bet that is news to L Collins the OL from a few years ago.
