So roscoe mike, can I ask you......what do you feel about LSU going OOS and plucking top prospects from other states? Should LSU send them packing?

That's different!!!!!1111

We never get anyone to ever answer that question. Louisiana high school kids apparently are the only ones that aren't supposed to leave the state.

All right then. If this thread is undermining LSU, someone RA and have it removed.

I guess it doesn't really matter how many 4 & 5 star players from La. go to Alabama.

Imagine of the OP was a Tennessee fan, wanna see OOS guys making an impact at Alabama? How about Jones and Hightower.

Dude, I'm well aware of our great prospects from out of state. That wasn't the point of this thread. I can start another one praising LSU's out of state recruiting prowess if you like.

It matters how many good players go anywhere else. As far as we should be concerned, it's us vs. the field. If you want to make the argument that we are loosing that battle, I'd be interested in reading a more well thought out argument. But the argument you made here holds absolutely no validity.

I might not, actually. Take a look at your list and consider this:

If those LA recruits where taken off Bama's roster and placed on LSU's, do you really think that Saban and his team would not be winning championships?

So you really just care about an 18 year old kids decision that much?

It wasn't an argument. It was factual info I posted. The interpretation of it is the argument. But no where did I say LSU recruits badly.

Then what's the point? All you are doing us pointing out that some players, a very small number, leave to play else where. You also only listed one real impact player. This cones across as an overly dramatic bitch about nothing.

I would gladly take guys like this:

Brandon LaFell, Danny McCray, Kelvin Sheppard, Joseph Barksdale, Ron Brooks, Patrick Peterson, Terrance Toliver, Demetrius Byrd, Ryan Baker, Alex Hurst, Kevin Minter, Sam Montgomery, Michael Brockers, Craig Loston, Kadron Boone, JC Copeland Jalen Mills

than offering a guy just because he is from Louisiana.

I would like to see that thread.

Let's see you put that together so this piece of crap can go away.

Alabma Players signed by LSU in the same time period:

2012 - Kwon Alexander
2011 - Stephen Rivers
2010 - Sam Gibson
2009 - Josh Williford
2008 - None
2007 - Phelon Jones and Sidell Corley

From a production standpoint, I would say that LSU has gotten at least as much production out of their signees from Alabama as Alabama has from it's Louisiana signees. Lacy was big for them this year, but there are LA kids on other teams in the SEC that have been highly productive as well.

Move on.

Honestly, I never gave much thought to this until Tim Williams committed to Bama. When I looked up how many players overall, it seemed like a lot. Then when I checked and saw how many in prior years (1), it got my attention.

Obviously it was a mistake to bring it here.

The only star in that group has been Lacy so far
Those other guys have been replaced by out of state players LSU recruited that have been just as good if not better.

it remains a fact that La. players have made a significant contribution to Bama's championship run.

And here's what bothers me the most: in the six years prior Alabama recruiting classes (2001-2006), one La. player was signed.

This shite needs to stop
Sounds like an argument to me? More specifically, sounds very much like an argument that Miles isn't doing as well as he needs to. And since that is the argument that you don't want to admit you are making, I would like to point out that there would be much more effective ways of doing so. This attempt failed

OK, So who do you prefer in this list and who made a bigger impact?

2007
4* DE Luther Davis - Barksdale did about as much on the DL at LSU than Davis did at BAMA

2008
4* CB Robbie Green - Hatcher was better than Green. Also, Patrick Peterson was a joke at LSU. I compared Peterson to Hookfin.

2009
4* RB Eddie Lacy - The 1 guy that has mad an impact. He didn't learn to spell his name until his first semester on the BAMA campus.
4* WR Kenny Bell - LSU took Randle that year and Bell was scared to compete against him. Bell is mediocre at best. His only route is the go route and catches it if he's wide open. Otherwise, he's broken in half because he weights 130 lbs.
4* DT Darrington Sentimore

2010
None

2011
4* WR Bradley Sylve - Beckham, Landry or Sylve? Who do you prefer? Oh, Sylve got moved to DB. Want me to list the DB's?

2012
5* S Landon Collins - Corey Thompson got just as much playing time as Collins did his freshman year. Thompson will be a player at LSU.
4* MLB Denzel Duvall - Kwon Alexander anyone?

2013
4* DE Tim Williams - Sure, tell Herron to go to Tennessee. LSU doesn't need him.
