Keith Marshall.....#1 RB per Scout

I live in Raleigh NC and we have a young man attending Millbook HS who has just been named the number 1 RB in the country for the 2012 class (by several sites - see Scout.com). He maintains a gpa north of 4.0 and would be an asset to LSU. He has offers from over 25 schools ranging from Bama,Georgia and Penn State. Runs a fast 40 and just started running track where he is excelling in that as well .....Keith Marshall...Why are we not recruiting this young man?

I did consider the fact that we may be stocked up on RB for that class but I was not sure. I just really like this kid and have watched him play. He is graduating early, stays out of trouble, and makes defenses look like they are wearing cement shoes.

You have to take in consideration LSU's position as well.
The same with DJ Humphuries.....
if LSU is recruiting a kid that shows little to no interest in a school, why would they waste their budget money on a kid halfway across the country when you have a RB that is SEC caliber in your own state, especially if you're probably just signing one RB in the entire class?

I do happen to know that the he received a form letter and that was the extend of our recruitment. Bama, USC,Southern Cal, Georgia, and Penn St.,etc have all made trips to personally visit him but your point of homegrown talent makes alot of since.

Kid is going to UGA. Has been favoring them for over a year. It probably wouldn't matter if LSU started recruiting him now. He loves Mark Richt.

I have heard he is a strong lean to the Dawgs but not a done deal at all. He has a friend and they are trying to go to the same school. Not sure who his friend is tho.

IMO he should go somewhere like UF utilized Harvin. AU would be a perfect fit for Marshall.

I just started dating the Atheletic trainer at his high school. She sees everyone that comes to visit him but she absoulty refuses to clue me in on his intentions or favorites. Georgia does appear to be the fav. at this point but we all know a 17 year old kid changes his mind like he changes his socks.

That would be a NO. She is a Penn St. grad. so she does not frequent this site....ps only been dating her for a few weeks....lol
