NOLA

quote:

Which college coach do you have the best relationship with? "Coach (Sonny) Cumbie at TCU. He started recruiting me early, that's the biggest thing. He has a relationship with my brother, my mom, my dad and most of my family. We've had a relationship since I was about 14. That's the biggest thing."

quote:

Was the negativity from some fans eye-opening for you? "Yeah, I never thought I could impact as many people as I do just based off of what I do with my life. Getting those DMs from people who have jobs and kids and they say stuff like that it's crazy. I think if they could lay off sometimes it would make the recruiting process a lot more fun for us. We have so much stuff outside of football from school, grades, family and friends we need to worry about. Those comments are kind of irrelevant."

>

quote:

Do you feel pressure from people in Louisiana to pick LSU? "Yeah, I hear it probably 10 times a day. Every where I go because I'm from a small city so pretty much everybody knows me. We were at a track meet yesterday and the person that was measuring the marks, he was like: 'I got one word for you: LSU.' Mostly all my teachers and administrators are big LSU fans so I get it a lot."

Looks like we got some catching up to do to TCU.

#1 thing posters on here need to hear. Kids care more about this than the fact a school is located in the state a recruit was born.

It won't hurt my feelings if he goes elsewhere.

I trust that Canada could get someone equal if not better.

I wouldn't blame him if he went somewhere else especially after we just signed 2 QBs.

TCU is probably the best spot for him but I do want the WR Marshall.

A competent OC like Canada can make a kid with his tools a star if he has the intangibles to boot.

Absolutely a want...and couldn't hurt with Terrace...who is a stud.

Having said that...line of scrimmage is my primary concern every single year.

We need stud linemen on both sides and at least 1 stud QB to make the jump we all want.

Have these kids said anything about playing together?

I don't know...a bit of an assumption on my part.

Unless they hate each other I dont know why they wouldn't.

What QB wouldn't want a stud WR like Terrace to throw to or vice versa?

Lately, that seems to be the theme with some of these home state kids, they're not as big on LSU as people in the state think they are. Todd Harris was sounding like that and it seemed as if he was Bama bound before he finally chose LSU. And I think a lot of that has to do with where the program is right now because of Miles, not beating Alabama in awhile and haven't really won anything in awhile like an SEC west title. It tends to sway some of these kids because they want to win right away, but I think that's fixing to change now under Orgeron with two awesome coordinators on both sides of the ball.

quote:

Do you and Terrace Marshall talk about playing together? "Yeah, that's our goal right now. We don't really push for it like once I go here, you got to go here. It's just one of those things where we compare our top schools and our top schools are kind of the same right now."

Like who?

So far Dinkleman decommitted.

Athur Stikowski (sp?) committed to Miami
Jack Tuttle committed to Oklamhoma

I mean LSU still has not shaken the stigma around our Qb development despite the new hires.

I was inevitable regardless of who was the coach.
