Agree to disagree on that one. Provens has a better build and is a much higher character kid. I'll leave it at that.

I mean this year alone their top 3 RBs were #1 at their position coming out of high school. That is laughably unfair. Their 3rd string freshman last year averaged over 6 yards per carry with over 500 rush yards.

They also have an equally highly recruited OL, which makes an even bigger difference to me.

seems like they need to be after this kid pretty hard. rb is gonna be a barren wasteland next year.

If he's going to qualify....

... hell yes. He's a no-brainer IMHO.

Emmons is light years better than Curry, Provens, and Joiner.

There is no excuse for LSU to not have an offer out to him and be pleading for him to get here.

There is literally below par SEC talent in LSU's backfield next year.

If you want to have zero run game next year then dont offer but if you want someone to be able to get you yards he better get an offer.

Bro, dude who doesn't do shite for an entire year other than getting 100 against BYU doesn't go top 15. Unless, last years Guice shows up, he's not going before 3rd round.

Kamara went 3rd round, Tarrick Cohen went later than that, Kareem Hunt 3rd, etc. Guice isn't top 15 unless you went back in time to last year and haven't watched a game recently. That boy slow...

If it comes to a choice between Emmons and Pooka Williams, who gets the offer? Emmons is very good, but he is just there for two years.

I think some of this depends upon whether or not Guice returns.

And there must be enough offensive line recruits signed to be sure what happened this season is not repeated. Can LSU really afford to sign four running backs in this class?

Hey, I appreciate the responses to my concerns.

I think Provens and Pooka Williams at least could play other positions.

I hope there is room for both Pooka and Emmons in this class.

But I still believe that offensive line is an urgent need in this class that must be addressed. So far, there are I believe only two OL commits, since Hines is projected as a defensive lineman.

Guice is not coming back! He already has people in his ear. Yes, the knee is still injured. Anyone that understands Biomechanics can see that.

3rd rd money is still very very good. 1-2 million for 3-4 years. Guices problem is he will spend all of it.

If Guice leaves
Why would Guice leave this year? He's a late 3rd rounder at best and has hardly played this year and has injuries. He'd be stupid to not come back for his senior year and try to improve his draft stock.

I see no reason why LSU can't accommodate him on that.

Hell, if he didn't want to start immediately they'd force him.

he's perfect to bridge the gap to John Emery/Noah Cain

I don't follow recruiting much until it gets close to signing day, so this is an honest question. Is there any indication that one or both of these guys are coming to LSU? I know they're c/o 2019 but neither of their 247 pages say they are committed anywhere. Just curious, as your comment makes it sound like they're confirmed coming to LSU.

They are both high on LSU and both are "from" Louisiana. Cain is at IMG in Florida and went to HS in Texas, but moved to Texas from the Baton Rouge area in 7th grade. His dad still lives in LA Cain has said in interviews that he considers himself a Louisiana kid. Obviously it's recruiting, so anything can happen, but we're definitely in the mix for these kids.

Have we offered yet? Seriously, I think he would be a great fit.

I would rather use a scholarship on a freshman that someone that will only be here a short while. We already have two RB's with playing time that are pretty good. In my opinion a JC rb is bridging a gap that doesn't need to be bridged.
