80-51 at LSU.

Finished at .500 or better in the SEC every year at LSU.

Obvious answer is YES.

Jones better make the ncaa tourney this year. If he doesn't, the fans will be a mix of increasing apathy and further calls for his job! His recruiting is too unbalanced. A few nba talents that stay 1 or 2 years (Mickey, Martin, Simmons, and probably Blakeney), but not enough depth in quality 3 and 4 year contributors to sustain a high level program, IMO.

With great talent. If you can't make the post-season with 63 other teams, you can't coach. Good recruiter when he hires a recruits godfather , You call 80-51 good. ?

He might be able to coach at practice but he sure as hell can't coach during a game.

The SEC is as weak of a conference that exists in all major conferences. Sorry situation that we should accept severe mediocrity

You are dead on.I was told by someone who knows that one of he coaches is in charge of the team during timeouts. I know last year it was the one who left for the NBA. Musselman. The only problem is the same one the football team faces. the head coaches gets involved in the play calling , set, formations, whatever, and collectively they must be the 2 worst gameday coaches in the NCAA. Good people, great recruiters just cant get there on game day. if it weren't for Daddy Dale, he might be gone now.
