Is that a bad thing? Does that potentially hurt us with LF? Thoughts? TIA.

Hard to be in a top 5 when we don't offer

We haven't offered so why would we be?

Sounds like he's waiting on LSU, because those are some damn good offers. Not sure which ones are committable though.

Apparently Auburn doesn't see what the big fuss is about either.

What would be nice is if he knows where LF is going/leaning and would like to tag along thus he is still open. And in order to tag along he would need that LSU offer.

We don't recruit 5'8 defensive backs unless their name is tyrann mathieu. We got bigger fish to fry

Roberts is probably a back up plan to Jackson, the CB from Cali. If things fall through there, I bet Roberts will get an offer.

Than again he could be a guy they want to offer at camp. We'll have to see how this all shakes out.

Are we supposed to assume the staff has made Jackson a priority just because the fans have?

I've learned my lesson with short corners and this staff, unless your name is Tyrann Mathieu and absolutely fly off the page you are going be left holding the bag.

I don't. I think he's a "it would be great if we got him" but not a guy that shifts our board in any meaningful way.

ETA: By "shifts our board" I mean that he isn't the deciding factor in whether guys lower on the board get an offer. We'd have to miss on guys closer geographically for that to happen. Which tells me the nearer guys are bigger priorities.

Jackson is the best pure athlete not named Leonard in this class. Real similar to Thomas at Oregon, blazing fast, real shifty and able to deaccelerate easily. He could also play multiple positions in college along with returning punts and kicks.

I agree 100%. If you find a way to remove the emotional side of being a fan (this board's meltdown over losing other DBs like Brown, Paris, and/or Hootie), and just focus on which DB would likely have the most positive effect on our program, I would take Adoree Jackson over any of them.

In fact, outside of Fournette, Jackson has more ability to lift up our program than anyone else on our staff's radar. And yes, I would prefer him on our roster more so than even Robinson (sacrilege, I know).

unless somebody else jumps into the race LF will have LSU and the gumps to choose from. look at the situation at gumpville with the stockpile of excellent rb talent already in line and look at the rb situation at LSU with Blue, Hill and Hilliard all leaving after this season. with the oline talent in place and coming in and the qb talent on board the situation, to me, would only point in one direction. if we secure a committment from Cam Robinson I think LF will understand that his and his families interests will be served best in Baton Rouge. JMO.

get better...get CR and LF.
