Surprised that he got offered. Not on a talent standpoint because I think he has the talent, but there just isn't any room for him I thought

Is there actual news that he's offered or are you just going off his Rivals page?

Whatever gets LF here, could help his recruitment if a teammate is coming with him,

Is he a friend of LF by any chance?

Not implying that means anything... Just wondering

Really is a beast..10 int's and you see why, has great technique. Great cover skills and run support, and then special teams ...High 4star/5 star material.

The only problem is we already have a guy committed to play that nickel role Roberts would be playing in Hardeman, and you can't get rid of him at this point

Good for him. Film looks great.

I'm a recruiting outsider, but how many CBs would we consider taking in this class? Hardeman committed, high interest from Tony Brown, then who else? Adoree is possible but unlikely (correct me if I'm wrong). It doesn't seem unreasonable to take 3 CBs in a class; Roberts looks like he could be a good choice for our third.

A&M already has 2 highly rated CBs committed for 2014 - Nick Harvey and one other, whose name I can't remember.

I look more at DBs as a whole and then move them in the secondary as need be.

Let's assume that Voorhies moves to WR like he think he is and Hardeman stays committed.

1. Hardeman
2. Tony Brown
3. Ed Paris
4. Hootie
5. Brandon Simmons

Then you do have a guy like Adoree who keeps calling us his dream school/offer, so it will be interesting how that plays out over the year. I think those 5 I have listed are solid takes and guys we all have a great shot with. Where they play in college is unknown because Paris and Hootie could possibly play CB or S in college.

That video says Roberts is 6', but he is closer to 5'10" I think. It all depends on how many DBs the staff wants to take because taking 6 is pretty much a quarter of your class at just one position.

We may push for Roberts late I feel but if he commits to A&M early, it may become a battle for him

Cedric Collins, but at the same time LSU will be taking the two top DBs from the state of Texas in Brown and Paris according to 24/7, so competition will be there at both schools regardless

he doesn't have an offer. Rivals has been reporting that offer for a few months now. Look up Anthony Milton's profile and you'll see that he's listed with an offer as well.Neither are legit.

Roberts can ball from everything I hear but unless he blows up camp or is tied to Fournette then he's not likely to get offered.

Also just as something to remember in case it comes up later, there are quite a few kids at St. Augs this year that are going to get offers and it will be interesting if Crutchfield or any of the kids(including Fournette) try to use Fournette's fame as a way to try and pull some Nkemdiche stuff with the packages. From all I hear about FOurnette's situation and his father I don't expect that to happen but crazy stuff happens in recruiting

I wouldn't count him in...we are still recruiting him but it will be a tough battle for his services...I am hoping Paris commits next month and talks up LSU so much that makes Simmons come with him....he is real sold on another school though out West.
