Jennings will take over qb starting spot over Rivers

I don't think we keep Jennings and Rettig the whole time. One of them is going to transfer at some point instead of sitting for 3 or 4 years. Guess we'll see but they are both talented. God help us if we go two quarterbacks again.

The favoritism towards one quarterback over the other has already started lol. If Jennings starts and doesn't throw for 3500 yards and 25 touchdowns then Miles will be dumb for not starting Rettig or Rivers. It's a vicious circle.

I think its ridiculous to recruit two QB in the same class now a days b/c whoever gets beat out is not going to ride the pine behind somebody their whole career anymore,they will transfer so you essentially lose a QB everytime. Its happening at school all over the country now. It will happen at LSU with Jennings and Rettig too mark my word.

I respectfully disagree. QB is probably the hardest position to predict future success. If you take only one QB in a class and he is a flop, then you have no one to fall back on. Some see it as a wasted scholarship, but I see it as more of an insurance policy. And let's be honest, when is the last time that an entire recruiting class panned out and saw significant playing time? There are always busts or flops so there is no guarantee that the scholarship you "wasted" on a second QB would have gone to a premier player.
I would much rather have a solid QB battle with the best player coming out on top (leaving the other to possibly transfer) than have a bust at QB with no insurance policy behind him. Perfect example is Ryan Perriloux. He didn't pan out and we had no one ready to take the reigns behind him.
