He would shore up his side on the field. Takes on double teams and splits them at times. At his weight he's tough to move so with another 15 pounds on him and if he happens to grow a few inches he would be a monster get. He plays very smart and technically sound. Really his only issue is size.

I like this guy and goes to show you that LSU knows how to spot these under the radar guys. LSU should try to dip into the delta of Miss, GA, TX, FL and land the best from LA, for the lines and linebackers. Would go into TX for some under the radar QBs as well. Full of them in that State and they can't get them all. Look at Baker Mayfield for a perfect example. A freakn walk on at OK. Texas is chalk full of QBs who fly under the Radar.

GA, LA, MS, and FL have areas that fly under the radar as well. This staff needs to spend more time finding OL, DL, MLBs, and QBs. The WR position will be fine in time. These areas are all in our back yard. Time to go find them LSU. They are out there, go find them and get them here.

That's your money positions and I would spend almost all my time finding those guys that can help us. Our best recruiters stay on these areas until our depth is up to par. Let the assistants recruit the other areas. LSU needs to change up how they recruit if what we are doing isn't working. If we can't land all of the big time prospects then do a better job of evaluations to have a board full of back up plans who are just as good. It's time we start winning these wars. Somethings got to change or nothing will.

That all sounds great.....but no offense, I'm going to go by his offer sheet and its awful. We know we offered bc of the other guys, which we no longer have. Other than that, its Tennessee and thats it....
So I'll take all those coaches opinions over yours at the moment. He's not under the radar bc he plays on a power house team with a couple other studs....so he's been seen....

No offense to u but I trust the evaluation of our coaching staff than yours. They've yet to cut bait on him which means they very much value his commitment with or without his teammates.

Good post BB99, but ftr Mayfield walked on at Texas Tech. He started there then transferred to OK.

I'm usually very realistic about if I think a guy can play here at LSU or not and I think Griffin can definetely play here. Being 6 foot is an advantage to him! His hands are violent as frick for a person his size and hes got speed. The players are out there every year that major colleges miss out on. Kid looks like Aaron fricking Donald.

Edit: just looked it up and Aaron Donald had one offer. Pitt. So Griffin is thought of more highly than Aaron Donald was coming out of high school. The knock on Donald was him only being 6'1" 265 pounds. If we let Griffin go I think we would be fricking up. Not that I think Griffin will be a first round pick, but does he have the potential to be? I think so.

No man none of this is right. Nick Saban and Urban Meter haven't offered so this kid is not fit for big time college football. (sarcasm off)

I used to assume this kid was a throw in also, but then I watched some of his highlights and I really think he can play. True, he was the lowest rated of the three Rome kids, but he's not the lowest rated guy we have committed.
