LF7 being drafted before Dalvin may make a difference as well. I doubt it will be a big factor but who knows. That's something that just kind of lingers in the back of your mind whether or not it's completely unrelated to your current situation.

Especially when Dalvin was supposedly the better NFL back (at least pre-combine).

I've hoped he would open up his recruitment ever since Akers committed & FSU already had a stacked 2018 RB recruiting class.

I do worry about his character. Dalvin has been arrested at least a half dozen times, including twice in high school. He might be a better person than his brother, but I am surprised more people don't talk about Dalvin's character issues. Wouldn't be surprised to see Dalvin drop out of the 1st round next week in the draft.

Spot on! Whether it be Cook/FSU or any other 4/5 star RB recruit, when you look at the LSU depth chart and coaching staff you have to find it unbelievably attractive. We'll take TWO CEO, make it happen!

I blame DCraig, even though I have zero idea whether he actually did have anything to do with it.

Craig had shite to do with that so I don't know why you would blame him. Akers went to FSU because they sold him on starting right away with Cook leaving, and because he also knew something about Juluuke maybe not being there in the near future. He said something about he hopes Juluuke is still there if he commits and I'm wondering how'd hell he know that. But Craig could convince him to come to FSU now seeing that he is now part of the team over there. lol I don't know why y'all keep dumping on D Craig?? My hat is off to Craig even though it didn't work out, he worked hard in bringing some good recruits to LSU with the "purple reign moniker" he liked to use, shite happens and you move on, but no need for all that crap against this man. Personally speaking I just don't see the younger Cook decommiting, he'll more likely follow his brother.

but LSU will get some good RB's in 2018 I think like Joiner from Ala and Curry from Fla, and probably a LA recruit or 2 in St. Julien or Carter. That's all they need with soon to be 5 star John Emery on the horizon. CEH will be a helluva RB for LSU.

For depth purposes alone, they'll need 2 rbs in this class. Cook will hopefully be one. If not, the kid from Alabama or the QB / RB from Georgia. Along with one of the LA backs.

Saying that CEH is better or not than Cook is a stupid discussion. Every SEC team - even Bama - subs muliple backs during a game. So lets everyone agree that CEH is going to be great but we need another great back to compliment him.

I'm mad Akers didn't come here as well, but he wouldn't start over Guice. I bet anything that he starts no later than midseason this year at FSU though. Pretty sure that ran through his mind.

Actually he is, Cook is the one not big enough yet. At his height, Cook needs at least 20 more pounds to even think about being an every down runner.

Agree LSU will be fine at RB long term. You mention Emery in 2019, who I think will be a total stud wherever he goes (hopefully LSU). Also made me think of Noah Cain, who I see now has more CB's to Miami than LSU. Any word on him?

Cook is still a Jr and has an additional 3" to add solid weight, which he will.

Not syating who's "better", just saying 3 " with no letdown in talent is huge.
