Per Sam Spiegelman on SECcounrty... LINK

Chase says that the NFL Network debacle might have been a sign and he's no longer 100% that he was making the correct decision (presumably TCU). He's decided to take his time in making a commitment. Also, even though he was down to a final 2 (LSU/TCU), he's now going to look at Florida and Georgia as well.

quote:

“I think I need to think more about it,” Chase said. “That just happened out of nowhere, something just happened and it must have happened for some reason. I was going to be 100 percent locked in and I felt that way. Now, I’m probably about 80. I wanted to be 100 [percent], so I feel like that’s a sign.”

quote:

“I still want to look at some more schools, so I’ll [commit] whenever I get comfortable again,” Chase said. “I was comfortable making my decision in Oregon and I just want to make sure that I can get comfortable [again].”

So...I think this is good news.

Things are looking much better with chase than before the opening! I really think we pull him in the end

Taking what I seen from The Opening, I think he's the best player in the state. So if this has anything to do with LSU. This is really good news. I really want him in this class.

This is definitely good news. If we get Chase and Marshall that'll end up being two of the top 10 WRs in the nation when it's all said and done. Chase is gonna shoot up the rankings

He looked like the best receiver at the Opening.

Chase and Marshall could be a OBJ/Landry type duo

And in my mind, outside running back position, the most important position this recruiting cycle by far.

I am not losing sleep (just an expression here not literal) losing Anderson or even Carter, but the recruiting and success of the Wide Receiver position is of utmost importance this cycle.

I consider it a must to get Marshall, and now Chase after also noticing his growth and skill at the opening (although I still consider Marshall the best receiver nationally).

If we can pull Keys or Bolden to go with these two we have the receiving class Canada can truly process and develop into a juggernaut in 2 years---My opinion of course.

This is great news for LSU. Chase is a beast and proved that at the opening. He's a huge piece to get in this class. I can see him and Marshall playing a good bit as true freshmen.

Would be an amazing haul. As an LSU fan, you have to love this news. He was 100% TCU prior to the snafu. Now reading that article, I don't see him going to TCU.

Yea, I expected him to pick TCU. He's the 2nd best wide receiver in LA imo and that's saying something because Whop is good too.

So you're putting the #1 WR in America at #3 in Louisiana? Chase and Jason are really good, but Marshall killed it in Dallas and Oregon. I don't see how he slides down the board.

Uh? Marshall is the best. I think chase is better than Jason.

His claim is solely based on the opening. Can't deny it, he had a really good opening

Agreed, somewhat different receivers but both have very strong hands and that is exactly what Juice and OBJ had.

Gotcha. It read as though you were putting Whop at 1.
