amite is in LA not in alabama. we will get this kid. who cares if we lost one or two others. that dont mean that the whole town turned on LSU.

I hope you're right. I just know people from there and the vibe is very pro bama.

Yeah, I read the story a while back about the barbershop. Alabama eats, sleeps and breathes football so it doesn't matter how shady they are because if they don't win, there is nothing else.

Edit: Well Gulf Shores is nice. But, "that's all I've got to say about that."

Birmingham is a nice place to live, and has gotten better over the past 3-5 years. But other than Bham and the beach, there isn't much else besides Bama football

We need him to play for us so we can have the literary defense with "Hounds of" Baskerville at LB and "Call me" Ishmael at DT

Agreed 1000 percent. Those kids arent going anywhere, but Bama unless something happens drastically with Vincent Sanders and Sam Petito. These wishful thinkers will fall for the sleight of hand while these kids pretend to be weighing their options while slighting LSU with the, "They dont recruit me hard enough, and its a business decision" mantra Saban feds them.

Call me out and quote me on Feb of 19, but I wont be wrong. Wish like hell I was, but knighting for this corruption wont make a difference for us unfortunately.

Amite,LA is not LSU territory ?!

BS

sorry, but as of right now it is not.

Maybe the people/players in Amite can do something about this. I don't know.

this it very true... i worked in Hammond about 2 years ago, and i will say that i came across a LOT of bama fans there....

it's unfortunate, because there is a lot of talent in that area, so O needs to do something about this, but it will take a big effort to do that...

On a related note, wtf is wrong with people from Hammond? They're extremely aggressive people that seem to hate people from other parts of Louisiana.

It is weird. I lived in Hammond from 6th grade until graduating with my masters at SLU in 86'. I don't remember a huge contingent of LSU faithful. That being said, it was before LSU's emergence from 2000 on. Hammond is less than 50 miles from LSU and a lot of the SLU students are from BR.

I've been in Shreveport since 2000 and despite a mix of Arkansas/Texas and other fans, the purple and gold is represented very well here.

We need to reroute that Amite pipeline to DV/BR. This guy will start day one here and we will have a need for him. Have to stop our best from leaving and especially from going to the red state. A big year this year and LSU beating Bama at their house would be huge in changing opinions across the country obviously.

I think we can get it done tbh. I'll never forget the way O looked at Saban, like I'm going to eat you in the future boy. Les Miles almost submitted to Saban, you can forget that under O. If he has a chance to roll up 50 points on him I think he does it. You'll be surprised what a real game plan can do for a team like LSU. Canada just needs to outwit 21 year olds not Saban. Saban isn't on the field now is he? If I were Canada I would be watching film on Bama tendencies now to implement my best plan that year against them. Bama, Aub, and FL I would be looking at film on all these guys for tendencies, weaknesses I can exploit, when game week comes I have notes and I'm ahead of the curve.

don't know, never got that feeling from the people there, but then again, i worked in an independent pharmacy there that was super busy and the little bit of time i did get to talk to people that came in, i was counseling them on their meds... didn't leave a lot of time to chit chat...

Sopsher isn't going to Bama. LSU is the leader at the moment. Word is his Dad hates Bama.

Sopsher come here and represent your state and be a legend in your hometown. Can't understand why these kids wouldn't want to strap it on for the home team.

Buddy of mine coaches in Tangi. He's been spot on with prettt much every recruit coming out of that area.

I agree with this and will add playing in Aranda's defense for his talent is just as good for his future as in Bama's if not more so.

He will likely play DE with his athleticism and size. I don't see him playing DT in our 3-4 alignment.

There is an Amite Pipeline that has been established. Don't judge O by his ability to pull Sopsher and Lee

Can a coach replace an enemy pipeline with a new friendly one or are pipelines permanent? I thought we hired the best guy possible for recruiting Louisiana rather than land an established X and O guy. I think we should judge him based on what was sold to us.

I'll wish him all the success in the world whether we land these guys or not. But I will absolutely judge the hire, and his talents, based on his ability to recruit Louisiana blue chips. Especially along the defensive line.
