Is it possible to redshirt sophomores after the have played their frehmen year?

Just wondering for basketball purposes if it were possible to redshirt Hammink and or Collins for 2013? Probably bad taste to do it but could really benefit Shane Hanmink a ton.

Yes you can and Hammink could benefit. Collins just wont ever be good player IMO

Gonzaga RS'd Olynyk after his sophomore year and it's paid big dividend for them.

they can do it any year. SC had Devon Kennard redshirt last year which was his 4th year in the program

I thought u could only redshirt as a freshman unless there was an injury or a transfer?

You thought wrong. You have 5 to play 4, however, it is unusual to redshirt in the later years without being forced to due to injury/transfer.
