If you're freaking out about RB recruiting, go watch Patrick...

Queen's Hudl highlights. This guy is ridiculous. He's easily an SEC caliber RB, but he may be a better linebacker.
He hits very hard. I love this guy. He and Racey are underrated.

But he's going to play Lb, right? And if so, what does this have to do wth RB recruiting?

He'll be a LB at LSU. We will still end up with a good running back in this class, and we're very much in it for the top running back in next year's class. Don't panic.

If I understand the OP right, he's not panicking. I tend to agree that if we are signing RBs that are better talents than Patrick, we are doing very well, because Patrick is a really good back. Look forward to seeing him lay the wood at LB, though.

After watching his highlights. I would say he is a good RB, but has an excellent nose for the ball and whoever is carrying it. I think he will make an excellent LB. However, if we did need a RB, he could be forge into an excellent RB.

People are sleeping on CEH.

Only people panicking about rb recruiting right now are the ones that panic about everything. We are great shape for at least 3-4 good backs with many still on the list to try and sway. People clamoring for elite backs have to wait and let the best rise to the top because there isn't but maybe 2-3 so called elite backs standing out at this point. Have to take the best of what's available in a given year and it's our bad luck that it's a down year for backs when we need them most. 19 will get us back in track.

Of course he will play LB, but I get the OP's point. If push comes to shove, we have a go on roster who can make the transition at a position of need.
I was also watching his film and interviews earlier. We are lucky to have him as a Tiger. Very passionate and sincere young man. He just seems all business.

I haven't heard his name mentioned after any of the scrimmages. So call the coaches, maybe they are sleeping.
If all others were hurt, I have no doubt he would be ok playing.

You probably haven't heard his name mentioned after the scrimmages because he is still in high school.

You won't here anything until the fall when he enrolls.

That'll do it, lol
So why would we be "sleeping on him". We better not be since he's the reason we missed on the Jennings stud.

Missing out on Ackers was a bigger deal then we even realize.
Too bad Fabian can't spell 'cat'.
Emery will be our next great back out of Destrehan, but have to wait 2 years.

After GUICE, the best RB on the team is a LB.
Devin White.

This year's running back recruits just pack zero punch whatsoever.
All hands will be on deck for John Emery Jr. come 2019. That kid is the best back I've seen since Guice and Fournette in Louisiana. Saw him play early last year against Hahnville and he jumped off the board. Found out he was a known commodity for quite some time down in the river parish.

One thing you will see this year because of Canada is more open running lanes for the backs.
Some people don't realize how difficult it was for the Oline to perform under Miles. The guys did a pretty damn good job against most teams with 8-10 in the box but it made it really hard for them.
LSU will be able to run the ball better against Bama than in recent years because of scheme changes.
So in short...Guice is going to be a monster this year and backs like Brossette and Williams will be even more productive.
You wont necessarily need a Guice or LF7 in Canada's scheme.
But it sure is nice to have em. Lol!

Agreed Solo.
I've been thinking along those very lines since his hire.
It has truly been the one thing holding this program back for years now. Glad the cancer is cut out and gone.
In a couple of years, we as fans, will be spoiled.

This thread is about people freaking out about RB recruiting. We signed CEH this year and people tend to completely overlook him. Kid is going to be a stud in Canada's offense.

You're 100% correct and how the frick is FS talking all these RBs into committing on the same team? That's nuts they have like 6 great backs. Send us one MFers
