Honestly, all Malzahn had to say was, "Are you really going to entrust your career to a school who doesn't even have an OC to provide you with any information as to what system they will be running?" That kind of stuff makes kids feel silly. I don't blame the kid, but I think he's not lost. You could tell that because he was willing to go on local radio and talk about it.
It really puts LSU under some pressure for getting an OC and having him speak to LN ASAP because of early enrollment. Auburn did visit him after his LSU OV Sunday night.

I know he is feeling pressure from all sides and I'm in no position to judge an 18-year old kid making the biggest decision of his life. Just seems sketchy.
But at that age and talking to someone like that is difficult. Especially with such a big decision. I don't blame him, that has to be a difficult conversion to have.

Sometimes it's hard to know when posters are making stuff up, so it's also understandable when people bust posters' balls for claiming to know things, like you did. I thought you sincere enough, fwiw. And this board is more lively when people are willing to risk catching a little hell to share info.
I, for one, take it all with a grain of salt because you can't assume recruits won't change their mind. Or that their private sentiments aren't quite in line with their public statements.
