I think the Mods need to make a new board, with a link on the left side, between Fantasy Sports and Soccer, called the "Dumbass Threads" board. Whenever a thread like this is put up, it can be moved to the appropriate board.

Well, he doesn't do much wrong. He has the best winning percentage of any coach in school history. Hard to find much fault in that. . .

I stopped reading there...

Just kidding..I hope its true but I personally feel he got caught up in the moment and committed. I am really happy that he did it.. now comes the hard part...it's a long way until Feb 2014. I hope the recruits he exchanged numbers with stay in his ear about LSU...can't wait to see him in purple and gold

I read the article. He's 110% absolutely positively soundly committed to LSU. Also Speedy Noil is meeting with Wildon and Henry right now. Tommarow he meets with Miles, keep an eye on this one.

I think having reservations are warranted considering how this went down, but we're unlikely to know one way or the other until we get much closer to his signing day. He won't be taking official visits, and he will be highly pressured to do so, until fall of next year.

same exact thing could be said for just about every out of state commitment (and most in state commitments for that matter) that any school gets. It's as solid as any other early commitment.

Les and co. hit a homerun.. Daub's family was with him and they were super impressed with how well the tour of the facilities went even though they showed up kind-of unexpectedly. Les was legendery how he closed the deal by selling Daub on kicking off 2014 with the 1st commitment and being the leader of the class!! He has also visited the other top schools on his list and didnt come away with near the feeling he did at lsu!!

Just for everyone that is wondering....

quote:

"All these coaches are trying to talk to me, and I don't really have to talk to them. I just talk to my coaches, the coaches I have to play for, and that's all that really matters," Daub said. "I talk to Coach Raymond -- that's my recruiter -- about once every two weeks. And I talk to all of them -- defensive coordinator, head coach and my recruiter -- like once a month."

It's a long day before Feb 2014 but I feel good that he will stick with us.

I was a little worried at the beginning just due to the suddenness of his commitment, but after his mom put Florida fans in their place on their 24/7 page, it made me feel a lot better

He just seems like a different type of kid when it comes to being recruited. I really think he knows he is badass and doesn't need or want a bunch of coaches telling him he is. He seems very family oriented and lets face it that is the type of player that loves Les and the LSU enviroment. Wasn't he home schooled for a while?
