LF commitment date always gets brought up but he's already said multiple times in interviews that he plans on committing at whatever All Star game he chooses, so i don't really get why people want to question that. Until he says he's changing that time frame it only makes sense to go with what he says. At least that seems logical to me.

Under on TB. Over by end of summer at latest.

Brown said in several articles back in 11' that he would commit before his senior year started so that he could focus on FB, track and studies. Just saying, I know that was a long time ago

He knows that he will be the biggest LA kid to come out and represent in nearly three decades. It would be a big deal for an OOS program to get him, but not nearly as big a deal as it will be for him to wear the P&G in DV. And our coach loves to pound the ball and is probably thinking of LF as we speak.

I wasn't clear with my comment about not expecting TB to commit early. Meant to say in the next couple days/weeks.
I'm not very bright.

Correct.

Over on LF, under on TB.

LF in January
TB before school starts

Collins, if he would've committed early to Bama would've had a difficult life every day in school, on the street, just anywhere he went. LF, being in NOLA and St Aug wouldn't hear as much, in my opinion.
meh. I don't buy that. NOLA and Aug are both very pro LSU, even with DeCarlo Holmes

How long does LF wait to pull the trigger?

My guess is as long as he wants to.

Probably wait until his sr season is done. I'd be shocked if he went somewhere else. I've heard from many people that say LSU all the way. People that know him and teammates etc
a family member of LF told me that he wants to take all 5 OV's first, and that as of now (could change obv.) those visits would be to LSU, Bama, ND, USCw and TAMU

I spoke with him at St. Aug's last home game on Friday night and asked him and he said it will likely be at the Army All American game when he'll make his decision public.

But who knows with kids nowadays, he might get the itch and want to do it earlier than that

Then you have no understanding of the history. NOLA and Aug are much more accustomed to players leaving the State than the Ascension/BR area. To say that Aug is Pro LSU is a very recent occurrence and mostly due to Al Jones' two sons and Frank Wilson. Aug used to hate LSU with a passion.

well at least lately, it seems to me Ascension players are more likely to go to Bama than anyone from NOLA.

the history of the 90's doesn't mean shite to today's recruiting. and outside of the 90's, NOLA players didn't leave the state that often.

and Aug never hated LSU with a passion, thats just a myth perpetuated by posts like yours.

Were you there? I grew up in the NOLA area in the 70's. There is no myth, but keep telling yourself it is. Marcus Quinn, then Malcolm Scott came to LSU in the late 70's. Waldon Cager came in the early 80's. even with Otis Washington on the Staff, we still lost out on most Aug players.
I was talking about the Aug family being more used to kids leaving the State historically, so there's not as much pressure to stay from them, whereas in the BR area, a kid might wait later to commit to avoid the backlash.
The two from Ascension that went
to Bama grew up in NOLA, fwiw.

Ah, hell, no need to argue. Lets just get LF and be grateful we have a good relationship with the School now!

like I said, the kids of today could give 2 shits about what went on in the 70's and 80's.

and the "St Aug family" that was around then isn't the same "St Aug family" that is around now.

regardless of what went on in the 70's, there would most likely be some backlash if a LF type player left the state on the same level as when LC chose to do so
