Not that it matters at this point, but just wondering. Without him, I still think we landed the top class in the country.

I will leave it at this...

We were very close. Like really really really close. Same goes for Carter, but I think Adoree was even closer.

It was probably 55/45 and if it were up to his dad he would be at LSU....... Also very close to getting Carter. But we were close to lots of the DL prospects that are playing for that FS team also. Finishing second isn't good enough, need to go after more top guys to start landing some of them! LSU should focus on both lines every year. Go after all the best coast to coast. They need to just start spending some cash.

Not that I'm arguing spending more cash, but what would they put money towards that would enhance the process and recruits experience?

They have been the leader in this for the SEC. Others are starting to follow and be successful reaching out of their known recruiting grounds.
Unfortunately the red team is now on that path, along w/ several others. Did anyone notice that several of the top dogs didnt fill all 25 spots this year. Its not as easy as it used to be and theres only so many blue chippers to go around.
This year LSU was trying to play Mother Hen and got held hostage. Theyve learned from this, it wont happen again.

Are you saying LSU was first to recruit nationally, and Bama is following LSU in that trend?

well, i think the only thing that got adoree to usc was CALIFORNIA. we won every other category. it probably also helped them to get ricky town to commit.

At the moment we generally go after guys with ties to the state or LSU...... Or pipeline states that the coaches have ties to, or current players. All are great but we should do more for both lines and go outside of our comfort zone and go after guys that we may not think are interested but might be looking for some contact from us. You never know? Many of these national named schools go after every top guy in the nation at least offering them or getting their attention some how. Then going after them once they respond. Like Malik or Carter, we went hard late but should of went earlier. Go after the top guys in the big states CA, TX, FL, GA, Ohio, Carolina's and our own, also the best of the Midwest and NE. Only for our lines, spend more time and money on these positions.

I think it would pay big dividends in the end. With the best lines of scrimmage your team can dominate and position guys are all over, LA is full of RBs, Cam I think has a hold on QBs now and Chavis can recruit LBs, DBs seem to like LSU a good bit, Send Grimes and Brick along with Miles out to recruit the lines hard. Go get em Tigers

No Mick Im not. U should know better by now.
Alabama is one of the Big 5. Theyve been recruiting nationally for decades. I was talking about the rest of the league which also includes the red team. It was a bit confusing , i worded it wrong for sure.
LSU saw that the SEC is hot and that u cant count on in state players(Collins) anymore. U better go get yours even if it means reaching into different parts of the country. Previously SEC teams, other than Phyllis, wouldnt have gotten very far with Top 5 studs in totally different parts of the U.S.

Apparently not close enough. He'll be a good one for USC.

I don't think anyone, not even the coaching staff, could make this assertion.

Yeah... I get the feeling that if NSD was Saturday after Cam Cameron's visit, Adoree would be coming to Baton Rouge.

I'm not. I just know people who are.

Adoree kept everything very close. he didn't talk to anyone in the media. No one knew where he was going. People guessed USC because of proximity, that's all. Then people thought UF because he was there a lot. But, LSU was in that one until the end.
