Hootie jones says his top priority is going to school that is close to home and that him and his mother agree on
he will be an early enrollee!
I wish we get him

Sounds a little like LSU!

He said he wants to play within 8 hours of home. That narrows it down a little bit but still leaves a lot of choices.

If Hootie commits, our safeties will easily be the best in the country for years to come!

well except every single school he listed but Stanford meets that.
I think you could pretty easily point out that many of the Big 12 games are in bumblefrick that is no where near Monroe. But the SEC schools he listed (Bama, A&M) are only marginally further than Baton Rouge and the road schedule would be basically the same. I don't think we're really in it (you can see him sort of forget us and then say, and oh yeah....) but I think Bama is a big player here. And nothing he said about distances would hurt Bama at all.

Well that narrows it down sh*t.
So, who else within 8 hours radius has his interest?

he listed interest in Bama, LSU, Stanford, UTx, TCU, and A&M. All but Stanford are within about 6 hours from Monroe. He also mentioned having a lot of family in Texas.

I think he comes to LSU due to his mother having such a big say so in the process plus the fact the Les Miles is great with parents especially mothers

If he didn't choose LSU, I'd much rather him go to TCU or UT. Yeah, I would hate not having him but at least we would have to play him every freakin year. I really hope he says LSU.

If BR is too far, TD will take turns bringing his family back and forth

Bama and LSU are the same distance away. It's just a matter of whether he wants to live in a shite state with nothing to do.

Baton Rouge is 189 miles W. Monroe
Tuscaloosa is 305 miles from W.Monroe
Google says we get Hootie!!!!

The mom thing is a big factor! LSU is the shortest distance by around 1.5 hours and I am glad this will play out quick rather til next February!

He will be apart of Bama or LSU.

Austin is a 7-7.5 hour drive from Monroe.
College Station is just over 6.
Tuscaloosa is about 4.5.
Baton Rouge is about 3.5.
