Weaver,

You can call bs all you want, I've never claimed to be a recruiting guru, so what reason would I have to lie? Now you can call bs on CR or the coach all you want, but my father is a life long fan that doesn't follow this board like I do, has no reason to make up what a coach told him. He works in West Monroe, and had a chat with a coach, it's as simple as that. We've been season ticket holders for 35 years, lying about a conversation about our beloved tigers would be asinine.

The slightest things can change a recruits opinion or mind about a certain college, I think we have all seen that, so to say it's far fetched or a lie that recruits could be treated differently, or better, by our enemies is pure denial. So believe what you want.

Mike Farrell at Rivals.com is saying that Hootie will probably head to Alabama.

I do hope that with all the new high tech gizmos in the world, lil Hootie does some history on his 'possible' new coach! History will repeat!

Dec. 21, 2006:
Saban: "I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama coach. ... I don't control what people say. I don't control what people put on dot-com or anything else. So I'm just telling you there's no significance, in my opinion, about this, about me, about any interest that I have in anything other than being the coach here."

He said that when Cam visited the Gumps, they rolled out the red carpet, had Saban and other coaches waiting on him along with a few influential players. They bacically catered to his every need and made him feel wanted and important.
