That's great and all. Is it just me or do we only sign forwArds and guards? I feel like we haven't signed a top flight center in forever. At least one that's panned out to be anything of with on the court

I like how he says Blakeney, a former teammate, has been recruiting him.

He's definitely a take. However, I am a little concerned that all we'll have in two years are guards and wings.

From the looks of his highlights he's a post player. You don't need a true 7' center in college. Athletic 6'8-6'9 guys who protect the rim work just fine.

The true 7' center is a dying breed in the NBA as well. Look at Golden State and how they have built their team. The rest of the league is starting to follow suit.

Jarell is also playing a lot of 5 for Memphis in small lineups.

LSU has a highly regarded center on its roster now, and he will be lucky to play this year.

Exactly. Guys like Jarrell and Ben Simmons are the future. 6'10 guys with skill who can stretch the court. The game is evolving out towards the three point line.

Golden State's 7 foot defensive minded center getting hurt is a big reason they lost in the finals this year. The game is certainly moving to more stretch bigs but there will always be room for a good back to the basket rim protecting center.

Bogut is a role player at best, but they certainly missed the option of changing the games up with the big man.

Yeah probably more than you and we suck! Why does Duke and Kentucky play for championships year after year? Yes their recruits are better and so is the coach, but they always have a big time rim protector in the game and not just a bunch of combo guards and forwards.

Let me clarify now that I'm not driving. We can have combo guards and forwArds, but they have to have defined roles in the game. We can't have them all playing the same game at every position. I would rather recruit a center who knows his job rather than a big combo forward that thinks he can drain the 3 and play center at the same time
