So this guy was a Georgetown commitment. And committees to them over offers from duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Indiana?

Yet he is considering LSU all of the sudden?

Doesn't add up to me? Is it because all the other schools who offered him are now full because of his renig from Georgetown?

He was a second tier prospect for Duke and Kentucky. He wasn't pursued as the number one option and both schools got better prospects. Kansas was not appealing for the Waters camp either because of Malik Newman being eligible after his transfer.

Waters is a very good recruit, but a lot of schools have soured on him because he has a dad who is a bit of a Lavar Ball-type and expects programs to build around his son. For a program like UConn or LSU, that isn't the end of the world. Waters is good enough to be a featured player from day one at those schools, but for a top 20 team, it is a ridiculous idea to center the team around a 160 pound freshman who is basically a top 50 recruit.

However, none of this is bad for LSU since the talent level is pretty barren. I would be quite pleased with 18-20 wins and an NIT berth this year because of the truly sub-par job Jones did last year.

Count me impressed with Wade so far.

Looks like he didnt get in till pretty late last night. Guessing his actual visit activities are today. Hoping to hear some good news in the next day or two. Especially with classes starting next week.

Did you go to Angus Barn and/or Four Square? I don't know the Raleigh part of Raleigh-Durham all that well unfortunately.

All this is spot on and like I said, hopefully his dad backs off once he enrolls (wherever it may be) and doesn't try to get too envolved and try to force a transfer down the road

I'm sure coach was back last night to greet Tremont and then will be with him for as much as he would normally be available for an official. Glad the timing worked out hte way it did.

How long is the recruiting visit? Is there an NCAA rule regarding length and parameters of recruiting visits?

OV's can be 48 hours. I'm sure he will stay the night and leave some time early tomorrow, though he could stay around tomorrow till the afternoon.

If he lands at LSU it will be interesting to see how Wade handles him and his father.

Wade doesn't seem like the kind of coach that'll cater to overbearing parents.

I saw a quote this morning in the advocate where Wade said they are trying to add one or 2 more guys. Is there anyone else out there this late in the summer?
