So you want to commit ?? .. Sign your LOI on the spot. You commit to the school and the school commits to you. You change your mind then the transfer rule applies to you and you also lose your redshirt capabilities.

Thoughts ?

Grits for dinner was a solid call and having 15-16 year olds sign a binding LOI is dumb as hell.

I would rather do the opposite. No commits until the first of Dec and can sign LOI or whatever date works out.

Tell that to the kids who get their scholarships pulled last minute and lose their chance at a college education because some dickhead coach wants to sign another prospect who's a bigger better deal.

I'm not saying that it should be as extreme as the OP but it'd be nice if scholly offers and commitments meant something again and were a little more binding both ways to slow down the absolute shitstorm of adults taking advantage of children in the name of "recruiting" IE lining the pockets of the owners of Under Armour, 247, Scout, ESPN, etc. Recruiting is turning into a big joke REALLY fast.
