He had fallen down the depth chart. There's far too much excitement about this guy. He will probably never be much of a contributor at LSU.

He wanted to transfer to a program known for their consistent and prolific passing attack.

LSU was the only logical choice

so a kid that had over 1,100 receiving yards in a major conference, will be in his 4th year of college, coming in at a position of need, won't contribute much?

He heard about the women and the food at LSU. It's not that hard to figure out really.

TTU breaking in a new Qb team not as talented, Vs LSU breaking in a new Qb with more weapons and one of the better offensive minds in football.

Heard from a Tech grad that he was passed up in spring ball and was going to start the season as a 2nd stringer. He didn't like the demotion and transferred.

Lubbock.
Is there a need for any other reason?

I would imagine that the TV spotlight could have contributed to his decision considering the amount of games broadcast between the 2 schools. Just a thought.

That's a dumb statement.

Raider Rash

nuff said. Aggies... you know what I'm talking about.

Realistically: seems he did get passed up; there's your likely primary reason. I think I saw somewhere where his recruiting WR coach left or was fired; there's a likely secondary reason (if correct). Is he friends with Fehoko or was he in his ear about other things? Don't know. If so, there's a tertiary reason.

The leading receiver on the Texas Tech team in receptions (69), yards (1,158) and touchdowns (13) had fallen down the depth chart? Seems accurate, researched and well thought out. Great post.

Far too much excitement for both TT transfers. They'll probably both be solid depth guys and nothing more. Giles might compete for a starting spot but he's going to find out real quick at how deep competition is here at LSU. Never had problems putting WRs in NFL even with bad QB play.

The DT...I don't know why we want him. From what I know he was never much of a contributor even though he started. I think he's more of a high ceiling guy that could blow up with good coaching. Guess we'll see...
