As bad as we need OTs I hope we get both of these guys, but if numbers force only one who does LSU take.

Ghirmai 247

Traore 247

IMO Ghirmai's film is hard to judge because he has a definite size advantage over everyone he is going up against. He plays with a mean streak and comes off the ball well.

Traore has good size, nice footwork and is quick to engage rushers coming off the edge. He needs to come off the line faster in run situations, has some hand work issues and personally I'd like to see him get a little meaner in the trenches. He also is proven against a higher level of competition.

I know Traore is very high on LSU! talked to him Monday and LSU was really the only school he talked about.

Both.

Wire will need time to develop, and Traore is a Juco. We need numbers there, as it is a major boom or bust position and one of highest importance(behind QB).

I have actually always thought we should take 3 OT's this cycle, one who can play immediately from Juco and will not use a 4 year scholly, one really althetic raw OT that's a bit of a high risk/high reward type like in Wire's case, and an additional high caliber safer pick also from highschool. So that's:

1 immediate impact Juco OT - ready to provide immediate depth or to start mid season
1 raw high ceiling flier boom or bust - will take time to develop
1 upper echelon OT in highschool - higher floor, but lower ceiling prospect, more of a sure bet

And I think they should make the number's work - I could easily argue the need for 3 OT's from a numbers standpoint as a vital need compared to positions where we are stacked, already have developed depth, and only need to recruit maybe 1 recruit for this cycle (and can afford to be picky to boot).

A JC OT is very important. Could have used one this year too as your #3.

I think 3 is the number at tackle for '18. 2 HS and 1 JC.

And if they sign Rosenthal he could end up at OT eventually.

LSU should take 2 JUCO OTs IMO.

This OL needs serious depth.

With the Wire take, Ghirmai is likely Texas bound now, so Traore

He only wants to go to a school where he's the only tackle?

I never did understand that type of thinking being an ex jock myself. You don't run from competition you embrace it. The only way you're going to better yourself is through playing against equal or better players, so you compete. If LSU needs as many OT's as people are saying they do, you sign as many needed.

If it is true that Ghirmai does not want to compete and is looking for somewhere that is only taking one tackle then bye.

We need 3.

Go ahead and take both the number 1 and 2 juco guys along with Wire.

It will be interesting to see how the Tramonda Moore visit goes, have the feeling he could shut things down after this weekend.
