Yes, my wife teaches there. We love that school. Seems a lot like st Frederick with regards to the types of people and students involved. Same could be said of OCS. Always heard good things on all 3, which is why I suppose they don't get along so well in athletics lol

I went to CC. OCS was always a big rivalry. We played St Freds but it was never on the level of the OCS games.
But all 3 are great schools.

Go to the state website or Google it. Those are the 2 highest SPS scores in north Louisiana outside of Caddo Magnet, who is top 10. Ts no secret, reported by all major media sites a while back. All scores can be seen on the ladoe website

St Fred did just get a ton better with the additions of Dr. Weber and Mrs. May. Seems like it's on the rise.

Nope Neville's SPS was 89.4. Ruston's was 92.1. West Monroe's was 94.7.

This page was started by someone talking about a kid in the 8th grade kicking in football. Somehow this turned into my school is better than yours. Please leave your negative comments somewhere else. Every school is great for the simple fact that they teach our youth. This kid goes to St.Freds and you don't have to like it. You are not paying for his tuition. This kid is doing something that most of you cannot and will never understand. You want to sit behind your computer and act like your better than others and life is not about that. Be positive and support every school and every child! Be an adult!!!

Does he plays soccer for Russ? Just curious. Nice leg

OCS >>>
Hopefully kid keeps it up and gets better every year.
And stop talking about academics and public school rankings when private schools aren't even ranked with them

He has played soccer since he was 3.
That's why that area of Monroe always seems to produce great kickers. Watching the videos, the kid has a live leg. Should be ridiculous in 4 years.

I agree. Lots of good soccer talent on the West Monroe side as well, but many don't start as young and football dominates, even at a young age. Heck, you guys are serious, I was traveling over with my son practicing soccer ( he's really big, often gets mistaken for 9-10 yrs old, but he's 6) and 3 different YMCA coaches came over seeing if he'd wanna play, it was awesome, flattering, and a bit crazy. Just reinforced how much more serious you guys are than over here. Anyhow, that lil bit to say if the youth leagues were a bit more staggered in times, I bet there would be more crossover at a young age. I saw kids coming from YMCA football to play soccer, the same day, they were worn down

This kid went to the LA Tech camp and came in 2nd in punting against a senior in high school. There were about 40-50 kids there. These are the results from being charted. Longest kick off was 57 yards with a 3.60 hand time. longest punt was 30 yards with a 4.35 hang time. Field goals he went 4/6 on college uprights from 20 - 42 yards.

Yes he plays for Russ. Use to play for Jonathon Walsh from Ruston on travel team.

Thomas Morstead had a little mini camp and work out at St.Freds today. Diarse was also there. Great turnout and a good time.

Yea guys let's keep this as a potential encourager for Gavin. Quit talking smack about the Monroe schools. I hope he gets recruited by LSU right now LAtech and Texas a&m are looking at him.
