Came across this article and I hadn't seen it posted before. I believe Ryan had an agenda in this trip. Haha. Just so happens that he took a tour to almost every school that had lsu targets. Way to go Ryan. Reel em in.

I would love for Ryan to join this coaching staff at some point. Would be a home run hire!

Awesome! Would love for him to be officially employed by LSU in some football/recruiting capacity but he has his ESPN thing going. Good to see he still makes time for

Curtis' Willie Allen, one of the top offensive linemen in the 2016 class, said Clark's unsolicited advance will pay major dividends as he undergoes this important process.

"It's a good experience anytime an NFL guy can tell you about school," the lineman said. "He told me you're only good as you want to be, that my (college decision) should be about education because there's a life after football. He said go where you feel comfortable because you're going to be there for four years, that's how he picked LSU."

I like how he dropped that in there.

Clark is a big time TV analyst talent and yes he is a very sharp man. Dont think Mr. Clark will need the grind of coaching to pay his bills moving forward.

I vote for him getting his own show and repping the Tigers whenever he can get away with it.

RC was always a class act both on and off the field

huge advocate for helping educate and support those diagnosed with sickle cell disease

Clark nearly died in 2007 due to his sickle cell trait diagnosis and playing in Denver at high altitude

He really is special as an analyst. Dude is just a natural on camera. I think a prime gig on one of the major network pre/post game shows is in his future.

Clark has had his eyes on TV since his senior at LSU, I remember him talking about wanting to be in sitcoms then.

He only gets into coaching if he just has a passion for doing it

I personally know his younger brother (also a hardworking, good dude) and coaching will more than likely be in his near future...

His brother told me that he'll probably do TV for a little while for a 'break' then dive into coaching when the time is right... He eventually wants to work close to home so I could see him taking a coaching job around here someday

Coaching is for guys who want to be someone, not for guys who already are. It is a damn difficult profession in which 70 hour weeks are the norm. No one wants to do that if they already have money and fame.

Some truth there. Also, some want to coach to invest in young men's lives. Especially if it isn't all about the money and they want to help these young men become more than football players. That seemed to be his message and a great one it was.

As others have stated, would love to see him coaching at LSU. Would be a great ambassador.

I feel the same way about Kevin Mawae and it seems like he would have some interest if asked.
