He has 1,222 yards and 10 touchdowns this season (playing with bad ankle all year). He has 7,936
yards in his career, that’s 112 yards short of the state’s alltime rushing mark of 8,048 set
by Germaine Williams of Ascension Catholic. Williams set the mark in five seasons.

Didn't he miss several games this season because of his foot?

Be awesome to have freak and Hilliard both break the records. What a combo, a sack record beast on defense and a rushing record monster on offense...

Tiny school, probably played as an 8th grader. There are girls who pitch as early as 6th grade for varsity softball in these tiny schools.

Ascension Catholic is interparochial (K-12), so I guess at that time there were no rules against 8th graders playing varsity.

LSULumberjack.....

Where do you find this info? I've been looking for all-time stats, records etc. for the whole season and have been unable to find anything.

Please help and thanks in advance

There still aren't rules about that. Uhigh's starting running back is an 8th grader

Nice rivalry between us(EDW) and them back in the 80's. They had a truck at RB and I can't remember his name. A big ole white boy that had legs like trees. They were pretty damn good back then. Did Williams come to LSU, can't remember.

The rule has always been the same. As long as the K-12 is part of the same campus seventh, eighth graders are eligible to play with the varsity.

Yes, he came to LSU.
I played against him in flag football championship.
He played during Hallman era. Didn't stand out.

I remember thinking Germaine "The Juice" would be awesome, but I don't recall the reasons why he didn't amount to much. Was it an injury, or did he lack the mental ability to adjust to the college game?
