Will be a 5* when its all said and done. To be ranked where he is after the elite 11 is awesome. He will have the opportunity to really move up big time if he continues to perform well and balls out at the all American game

I say he becomes a 5 star after the Elite 11 Finals. I've seen some skyrocketing rankings of players after their play at the Opening for the past 2 years. He's only gotten better and better since the end of the football season.

If sits right at 20 he will be a 5 star. 247 usually allows 28-35 5 stars.

They decided on 32 because that's how many first rounders there are a year. Personally I think having a set number is dumb, a five star should be for a "can't miss" type. Franks should be one at the end.

Franks was the one wanted most by Cam...and I think he just might know more about potential NFL QBs who can take the rough and tumbles of today's game...that's good enough for me!

I bet Patterson won't be running much after he gets hit one good time...I doubt he's ever been hit like he's going to be hit in the SEC...jmho

Franks looks like he's been hitting the weight room from the video. Gonna be good to have a 6'6" QB back there slinging it for LSU

Franks most recent 7 on 7 highlights looked a little "Mettenberger-ish" IMO with regards to his stance, form, etc. Looks like Cam has been coaching him up. He was slinging it with great velocity and making it look easy.

Saw the same video, and agree 100% He looked very poised and had a strong arm with downfield throws right on the money, some in tight spots. Definitely looked more like Mett than any other qb on the current roster. WR's should love having this guy on board.

Looking forward to seeing you in purple and gold in death valley Felipe!

Franks is set to enter LSU's quarterback group as an early-enrollee next January, and he will give LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron some solid depth next season with Franks as a true freshman, Justin McMillan as a redshirt freshman, Brandon Harris as a junior and Anthony Jennings as a senior.

I'll take it.

Just watched video. Kid has a cannon. Really happy to see more line drive throws to the flat 15-20 yards downfield because there aren't a lot of those in his game film. The physical talent he has can't be taught and couple that with his work ethic and leadership and it seems we have a fricking winner on our hands.

That last pass in the video down the sideline was perfect

And lol at the "Dual-Threat" label. Kid is a pure pocket passer who happens to be athletic.
