Frank was easily the most physically imposing quarterback of the group. He makes everything look easy. He is a fluid athlete to go along with his size. He has easy arm strength in that he can flick of his wrist and send the ball 60 yards downfield without winding up. He has tremendous pocket presence and commands a huddle.

Best thing in all that is the key attribute of "pocket presence" which not enough QBs have coming out of HS and something that seems like it can't be coached...you either have it or you don't. Example, Mett had horrible pocket presence but amazing composure. 2 things that just can't be coached.

i sure hope you are right...he is exactly what we will need...just wish he was there this year instead of next...id rather him start at his second year and have LF7 in the backfield...but i guess if he is good enough coming in as a true freshman and competing he may get the nod and get to be in the backfield with LF7...

i wonder why all the articles has his measurements at 220lbs give or take but his profiles still have him at 190...ETA Well scout does anyway

Can we wait to see what he does on the field before he is called the savior for LSU. He needs to come in and sit a couple years to fine tune his craft.

The only thing that concerns me is that Franks was considered one of the few who could've improved his stock (moved to #1 overall) by a strong showing at the Elite 11 finals, and he didn't impress as much as people expected, and didn't even start for his 7-on-7 team.

He's already rated #5 with the largest upside, by far, of any of the top 10 pocket passers. We, as LSU fans, have to accept the fact that LSU just isn't very appealing to top notch QBs. We're not Sou Cal, Georgia or Fla St.

Franks, like 99% of all incoming freshman, must learn the playbook and how to read college defenses. That's where the "fun" really begins.
