2011 Center prospect from Destrehan, LA made the Rivals 250 @ 212... So I went searching, and I found the film lynx linked, but then I ran into this little gem.
LINK
Mean streak, Mauler, and plays until the whistle.

It looked like he had good power, but I never really saw him go up against anyone close to his size, he was just throwing around smaller players, so it's tough to evaluate.
One thing about him though is that it seems like he doesn't stop til the very end of the whistle (or even after).

Very quick feet.... With that and how he did at the OL camp earlier , I'm liking the idea of bringing in an All La OL class. I was pretty sold on us only needing 4 OL, but now I'm more than o'k with adding Hutson as a 5th

I like his film and I like the fact that rivals has him in their 250. As far as I can tell he seems like a guy we could easily get and should.
But why aren't any of the LSU coaches on him? What are they missing?

Or better yet, what are we missing?

This is the kid that goes around the cafeteria taking kid's lunch money, he just looks mean. He is gonna pull some of that laying on top of people stuff and driving someone 40 yards down feild against Freak in practice and get his arse knock the frick out

I don't think one of those guys he blocked were over 180 lbs.
I wouldn't mind taking him though. He's not undisciplined, he just plays til the whistle. Kid's got a motor.

I think the main question is whether or not we take a center in a short-scholarship year.
Our curent centers still have several years left so it's not an absolute necessity compared to some other positions. If they struggle this year then I think we could go in Hutson's direction. We shall see. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to taking him but we shouldn't take him "just because."

LT- Collins(#6)*****
LG- Turner(#247)****
C- Hutson(#212)****made a 28 on ACT
RG- White(#194)****
RT- Robinson(#19)****but 19 usually is a*****
I would say center is a position that we like a smart guy. Plus the above all LA line would average approximately 6'5 300lbs as incoming freshman based off their current measurents.

I think that would far and away be the best O-line class in the nation.
And I was going to point out Robinson being in a position to get a fifth star but saw that you beat me.
2 5 stars and 3 4 stars is pretty damn ridiculous.

Actually, I've been saying this for awhile. Unfortunately, every I mentioned it I was called a racist due to Ethan's "whiteness" (where y'at Suntiger, GeauxAggie, and Chinese58?). OFFER ETHAN HUTSON NOW! He's the link we need (along with Greg Robinson) for the greatest group of linemen ever! Word.

I like the idea of having an all Louisiana line for a class.. redshirt them all, and reap the benefits down the road

Collins won't be redshirted...you can write that down.

That linked video is better than the video I had seen when I originally ranked him.
It is easy to focus on him throwing guys around, but try to look past the obvious. Any potential LSU caliber OLineman is going to be able to manhandle their opponent.
He pulls much better in this film than I remember previously. He still needs to work on leverage at times and he needs to stay balanced more, but overall he looks like a very good prospect.
I really like him at center, but I don't think LSU takes a center this year.

Absolutely we do. We are in need of a good center. We struggled there last year with an injury riddled guy and a young guy. T-Bob's injury might be more significant than originally thought and he's having off-field issues now. Lonergan is still young (SO. this year) but even he'd be a JR. by the time Hutson would step on campus. The last guy we have at center is a very young guy who is a major project going through a position change.
When you have a big guy who looks good at center, you take him.

Think he may start at RT as a true freshman if Hurst moves over to LT?
