I have officially lost any little bit of respect that I had for ESPN CF Recruiting. Savion Smith... 4 star ATH?? The guy is a 5 star first off, and he is a freaking Corner back (The best CB in the nation as well). What more do you need to see that they guy is a a CB?

They have his 40 At 4.7

I much prefer 247. I like their layout.

I like that they have a composite and a top247 ranking. Savion smith is #1 and #2 in the state of Florida according to them, but to ESPN he is #6 in state.

Most of us stopped paying attention to ESPN recruiting info and rankings 5+ years ago.

They don't have any 5 stars in the class of 2016 just yet. The number one player only has 4 stars too.

Just for comparison.. I meant to add.. Hudle has his 40 time at 4.5 and ESPN has it at 4.7

ESPN truly is a joke

Yeah, that's why I don't care about the 5 stars.. but they have him #6 in their state, when he virtually is 1 or 2 by others in the state.

I thought they had him as their top athlete. I think #19 player overall.

And like another poster said they don't have any 5 star rankings yet.

No. 19 overall pretty much says he will be a 5 star when they star handing out the extra star.

Normally yes. But committing this early to a school not named Alabama pretty much says he will drop about 100 spots as this recruiting cycle moves along.

That was his official time from the Nike SPARQ last year. Kids still a baller though. Screw the 40 time.

I agree times don't matter, but I figured they'd update it. I am sure they will soon enough, but just seems ESPN is really behind the others.

They may have him the best as athlete, but they have a cornerback ahead of him in their actual Florida rankings alone. This makes no sense lol. Again, just weird to me that they have him all the way at #6 overall in Florida.

It truly doesn't matter, just glad to have him.

It rally doesn't matter that they have him # 6 overall in FL if he's 19 overall in the country. That just means FL has a talented group this year.

This is the hand that controls ESPN recruiting. Can you guess what else it's used for?

Espn waits for Alabama to start recruiting players then they rate those players 5 stars. I'm pretty sure all you people notice year after year that a player can be a five star as long a Alabama is in the mix for him but if LSU gets his commitment he suddenly drops from a 5 star to a 4 or 3 star. Yeah no respect for those clowns.

He and Gerry Hamilton each have to type with one hand, which is probably part of the reason that their rankings are so awful.

During Gilmore's recruitment ESPN didn't even list LSU as a school of interest,he then committed to us. I stopped looking and listening to anything they had to say about recruiting after that. I knew they sucked before, but that was it for me.
