LSU currently has 4 EEs, but the majority of the other teams towards the top of the recruiting rankings have 7. (Although UF somehow has 12 and Ole Miss has none)

Seems like this has been the case several time recently. Just curious why we tend to have less? Does the recruiting violation with Womack have anything to do with it?

I'm pretty sure it has to do with how many scholarship athletes that are on the team and obviously whether or not the recruit is eligible to graduate early. How Florida got so many I have no idea.

has a lot to do with whether kids are ready to enroll early or not.

But I doubt any teams in the country have the quality we have early enrolled. Kudos to the staff for that.

We will have 5 with Dee Anderson now, FYI

And the rule is you cant ever have more than 85 on scholarship

Yeah, and some schools have certain rules that make it hard to early enroll, that's why some transfer, like to IMG..

Seems like it's something a recruit would have to plan to do a good bit in advance.

Do they have assigned numbers yet, or just wearing random jerseys for the picture?

Do Louisiana high schools have something to do with it? I thought I read that a lot of schools don't allow early graduation.

I would guess they let them pick a number for that picture but that will all be retaken and numbers will be assigned once all the incoming freshmen are on board and we begin for real for 16'.

The max number of EEs is the number under the 85 you had in the fall plus the number of players leaving the program who graduated by Dec. So assuming Hawkins graduated, then he gives us an extra spot. Diarse graduated too, so he adds a spot because he transferred. But if someone hasn't graduated yet, even if their eligibility is over, that doesn't give you an extra spot until next season. The numbers will be different for every team depending on their situation.

I think you are mostly right, but I believe that it depends on how many player you have enrolled in the spring semester. If the guys leaving early for the draft do not re enroll then it is an extra spot for an EE. I'm pretty sure the rule is you can have 85 scholarship players enrolled per semester.

No. EEs can only replace those who have graduated by dec on the 85. If somebody leaves and hasn't graduated, you can't use that slot until the fall.
