Yeah it's funny people saying that. They're acting like committed players are off limits to other schools. Everyone was still recruiting the hell out of him.

Your right, but from what I gathered in his tweet he doesn't want to be that guy. He sees it as dishonest to his commitment to still be recruited while he was committed. If anything it makes me see him as more of a stand up kid. For him to say hey I committed too early I made a mistake doing that and I want to do it the right way. Yet people on here still want to throw stones at a 16 year old kid who is doing his best to be honest and straight forward.

I wish him all the luck and happiness in making the best decision for him.

the young man should have never verbally committed. In fact, there should be rules against such things so early. I'm sure we'll still have a good shot at him. That's like a high school kid going steady throughout all of high school with the same girl. Crazy

If Moses claims LSU is his #1 school, why would 247 recategorize him as "warm" towards LSU, Alabama, USC, FSU and Texas?

The kid wants the fame and hype of being recruited he wants the TV spot of putting on the hat and all the hoop la that the media has made of recruiting..and untill the ncaa puts a stop to the announcements on live TV a lot more of this will happen. I mean why wouldn't a 17 18 year old kid not want to be on ESPN live on TV announcing where they are going while everyone in the country is watching. And if he commits early he misses out on that. They also miss out on traveling the country and being treated like a king wherever they go..I think he realizes that he is missing out on some of the "fame" by committing early.. Butttt I think in the end he comes back home to good oll Lsu and is one of the best we have every seen geaux tigers

I knew it was too good to be true to not have him go through all the hype and just be focused.

I'm confident Dylan will be a LSU Tiger when it's all said and done with. Can't fault the kid for wanting to experience the process of a big time recruit, visits and all.

You're basically saying there should be a rule created that says people cannot verbally say which school they want to attend

Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

Give the kid some room and let him enjoy the process. He will follow his heart.

Is it really any more stupid than a coach not being allowed to talk about a player who had verbally committed to their school before he actually signs?

Doing away with the verbal commitment process doesn't do anything to stop silent commitments between recruits and schools but if the recruiting services stopped recognizing them, it would remove alot of pressure off the kids.

It wouldn't be surprised if Moses received some pressure from ESPN, amongst the usual suspects, to decommit. This will make good ratings for the show.

My first reaction is frustration, and then I look for someone to blame. Nobody is to blame. This is such a predictable occurrence. It literally is the biggest decision most have faced, kid and family alike.
We have to hope our coaches will continue to let the family know what advantages LSU presents him. If his love for LSU remains, we stand a good chance. Negativity against anyone in this instance is misplaced and detrimental to LSU.
