Im going to assume that we wouldve used speedy in the same way we are attempting to use Donte. My question is, who was the better athlete prospect coming out of high school, Speedy Noil..?? or, Donte Jackson...????

They are very different. Also, Donte is faster but speedy is the better athlete. I think he had like a 45 inch vert at the opening.

Speedy would be on the bench at LSU. He's already been passed up by a true freshman due to his lack of route running. and you know if you can't block at LSU.....you won't play.

He'd be nothing more than a specialist at LSU.

Donte has all the above skills AND is a talented Defensive Back

Well it doesn't help that Sumlin isn't good at developing his players. Speedy needs someone to push him

Can you blame him for getting passed up? Christian Kirk is an absolute monster.... Right now at least

It's not just Kirk, he's currently 5th on the team in receiving. I had never heard of Damion Ratley before the season and he has more catches and yards than Speedy.

Well obviously its Donte since he is at LSU and Speedy isn't.

But the correct answer is Speedy

Speedy is the better overall athlete. Which is the better overall football player remains to be seen.

When it's said and done I definitely think he'll be a good one but so far he's been involved in broken coverage against Moo and Auburn. But I understand that is asking alot of him since he's multi use.

Since the emergence of Kirk, I'd bet every Aggie would trade Donte's DB skills for Speedy in a heartbeat. They lying if they say otherwise.

I'll keep Donte with his specialty skills/DB play over Specialty Skills and learn on the job WR play

Duke Williams outweighs him by 50-60 lbs at this point. That matchup is easy money for him.

We don't really depend on WRs like their offense does though

Speedy was the better prospect coming out. He was one of the Top guys in the nation in SPARQ.

Turpin was a better player in high school than both.

One plays offense and one plays defense. Speedy would have started as a freshman in the slot. Donte could start next year along side Tolliver. Hard to call either a better athlete than the other, but I would say at this point you could call Speedy the better football player. That could change. Both are great athletes and should be successful in college and have a good shot at being productive in the NFL.

I believe Speedy last year would have gotten Trey Quinn's touches.

Speedy is as talented as Kirk, but it's about work ethic, improving your game, and where your heads at. If his focus is popularity, girls, and other foolishness, then yes he'll get passed by someone else with talent comparable to his, who works harder. By all accounts he's been passed by Kirk. We heard rumblings after Speedys commitment to the Ags about not wanting to take drug test etc. Also had a run in with law enforcement. All that says something that he may not be focused on his craft like he needs to be to succeed at this level. Not high school anymore. Almost everyone is good at this level.
