Meaning he knows he should start somewhere but where exactly is that position. After seeing his most recent tweet w/o mentioning us, Speedy may think that he will get the Russell Shepard treatment in BR. Just a thought and I hope we get Noil

Noone saw Russell Shepard run a route or catch a pass until after he was on LSU's campus and after the QB experiment didnt' work, at least to my knowledge.

Speedy's been working out at WR for a while now at camps including LSU's and has shown tools as slot guy that RS10 never did. I don't like that comparison but understand why uninformed poster see 2 athletic HS qbs and jump to a conclusion that Speedy is this huge project and a guy without a position etc.

Speedy and RS10 have about as much in common as JD Lott and Kendall Beckwith.

shut up the RS10 comparisons, they are nothing alike

There is a perception, however premature, that Noil can reliably catch the football.

I wasn't trying to compare the two guys but just reacting (somewhat prematurely) to the tweet made by Noil. Does anyone know what position coaches have been talking to Noil about playing in BR? That's where I got the RS10 reference being that both guys are extreme athletes and where would Noil benefit us most.

Can play cb or wr but with his explosiveness, we prolly want him on offense

RS10 was recruited at QB and given his shot there even though the coaches probably knew all along that his arm talent wasn't adequate and he'd end up at WR. I think him playing RB in the interim back in 09' was to get the ball in his hands before he was comfortable with the receiver position. Then after a couple of years they realized he was maybe the 6th or 7th best receiver on the team so he's kicked back to RB. I don't blame the coaches or LSU's offense for his perceived lack of a position.

My understanding is Noil is being recruited as a WR and has been since his sophmore year.

Considering he doesn't want to play QB, I don't see the comparison.

Not even close!! And if people new RS10 wouldn't of worked our at QB? I seriously doubt he would of been so highly recruited! Speedy is much more balanced tough and polished as a wr. Not just that, speedy IS a FB player and RS is still tryn to be. Trying really hard but it isn't natural like speedy IMO not close!

RS looks kinda clumsy on the field not to be rude but he does! He is a super athlete but just his balance isn't there and speedys is off the charts and he's tough, just an all around FB player

I wouldn't have minded a RS package every now and then, like the 07 RP one.
Before the SECCG, RP rarely threw and when he did it was a surprise. RS could've run the beloved option.
